big companies can do stuff there for low prices. If they got

tru...but dam i mean the games are ill...china is dominating...or atleast look like they are from what i've seen(not much lol)

it's just every time i pick up a news paper or go on the internet they say sumthing like bejing hides store front, human right for chinese citizens like dam is it that bad...or is the democracy vs. communisim thing still going hard o.0

In UK it's been more good than bad on China. Maybe the report on the terrorist attack but that's about it. Not surprised US News would report nothing but negativity, but that's what pulls in the ratings, most of the world knows US news is not the best to go by E.g CNN. I would suggest looking at the BBC, they're more reliable.

But let me ask you, did they report on the vandalism by the Europeans in Shanghai? Read that in the paper over in the UK. Apparently a park over there had signs saying 'No Dogs, No Chinese'. I find it funny though, how someone can say eating dog or whale is evil while at the same time they probably stuff their face in McDonald burgers or KFC and most likely have pork chops or the like. 🙄

Either way the Olympics still going good, despite all the negativity so that's a plus in my book. I wonder how UK is going to try and top the Op Ceremony. Anyone seen this?

Well, the media is fine in Hong Kong, obviously. And so far the coverage has been great. On the opening day of the ceremony there were the top 4 main channels running the same thing live in Cantonese and English...so basically when one channel stops to play the adverts you switch to another channel and you won't miss a thing.

On a side note: yea, the fireworks were awesome! and some of the dancing events were amazing! My mom thought the printing blocks was a machine too...lol, that was of course until little men came running out of them. 😲

But i agree, what's with all the negative news!? >:-( All this human rights and political crap is getting really tiring. Its almost like the US are deliberately putting the negative news out there to cover up what a success the opening ceremony was. Its kinda sad...really.

Like someone said before, China has been winning a lot of the gold medals because they excel in most of the sports that have been going on so far. E.g. badminton, diving, gymnastics, etc
