I started to watch it on NBC and 😔
It's sucks, I had to buy a dvd from Chinatown the next day. Oddly pretty good quality. 6$ FTW!

They are selling it in Flushing for 3.....terrible!!! Why would you bad that stuff! It's illegal.

It's only illegal if you get caught. -Al Bundy 😛

There are so many reasons not to support NBC this time that creative measures to find alternate venues should be supported. It's one thing to take down clips posted on Youtube but getting every other broadcaster to block their online content from other regions is going too far.

As for Microsoft, considering the amount of bloatware and invasive copy protection they dump into their junk nowadays, I'm surprised there are still people defending them. Not much experience with linux and next to no experience with Apple but I do know that Ubuntu ain't bad.

It has its short comings (moderate learning curve) but you get a massive amount of control over the system and it can work on almost anything. A word processor is a word processor no matter how much graphics and animated crap you dump on it. Unless your into PC gaming, it can pretty much do anything you need. Even if you are, you can always do a duo install.

Dude name one thing that is so good about MicroSoft.. like Window Vista... start supporting Vista and then a few month later all their updates are all stopped... Now look they start a another OS system called Windows 7/Fuji forgetting Vista. All they want is to make money by creating new and better programs. I admit that Mac is trash but Linux is the best OS ever created... get your facts straight and learn something about programming/computers before you talk about them 😔 😔 😔

Stop getting off topic. The next one to continue talking about any operating systems in this thread gets banned

The coverage here in Australia is pretty good. It's in HD and we're only 2 hours in front so everything is shown live.
I don't hope Phelps gets his 8, If we [Aus] can't have them I'd rather they were spread out between the countries. We need Thorpe back 😛

Sorry for this barrage of questions in advance. Your comment's gotten me curious.

How is the Australian presentation? Does it have a lot of commentary and human interest pieces or do they have more coverage of the events? Hows the variety of events covered? Is it heavily Australian centric or does the broadcast cover a more international audience?

If there's an Australian involved, it's almost always OZ-centric.... but my experience comes from rugby and motorsport coverage mostly.... not sure how they cover olympic track or swimming events.

Maybe England could out do China by showing their rich history in invading and taking over other countries, committing genocides on several Indian tribes and getting beat up by America. They can have their little wigs, white powders, accent and yellow teeth with a tea cup 😲 I'm kidding of course, no need to feel offended if you are English.

Depends on the athletes. Many women in the gymnastics team look no older than thirteen but they are all older than sixteen. A lot of the athletes sure are built weird though. Makes a person wonder how much steroids has really infiltrated the Olympics.

As for Chinese wins, it's been pretty nutty. China's going back and forth for most medals with the U.S. and they have triple the gold right now (three vs. nine). Never thought they had it in them to do both already.

yeah, but US beat China at basketball. I think the only reason why China didn't lose so badly was because US took pitied on China. God, that is sad. 🙁

Well, China is doing good now because these sports are China's strong points. Once America's strong point arrives, whoosh! Besides, compare the Chinese to the Americans. Averagely, Americans are bigger, stronger.

Also, those kids does not look 16, they look like 30.

Italy is still fourth after today ^^

We were eighth at Athens, we can do better this time, even if many of our athletes are in bad shape.

Shouldn't the Greeks be owning this game? It is their sport isn't it?
