Now I'm looking for several topics:

1. **Entertainment World **- A girl is suddenly (well, maybe not so sudden 😛 ) dragged into the Entertainment world and gradually improves, e.g Skip Beat!, The One

Please, I do not want a whole load of romance like in Honey Hunt. I'd rather that the relationship gradually builds slowly.

2. Ranks - This does not necessary mean Royalty. I want something that involves a guy being rich. I would like the girl to be somehow poor but once having a rich family, e.g Shinshi Doumei Cross, A Kiss For My Prince, Savage Garden

3. Guy as the main character. e.g Otomen, Cinderella Fella

4. **Mysterious mangas **- Anything similar to Arisa or After School Nightmare

Rose of Versailles is a great classic shoujo about Marie Antoinette and her bodyguard-type person, a girl named Oscar that was brought up as a boy. It sounds like a yuri, but it isn't. Oscar has a male love interest. There are some shoujo-ai hints, but it isn't the main focus.

Glass Mask is another great classic shoujo. It's about a girl with a verbally abusive mother and a hidden talent for acting. It's very dramatic.

Georgie! is yet another classic shoujo. It's a historical romance about a perky Australian orphan girl who loves a young noble and who is loved by her two adoptive brothers.

Ultra Maniac is a nice cliche shoujo by the author of Marmalade Boy about a witch girl named Nina, her new best friend Ayu, and magic interfering with their love lives.

And if you like her style, you should definitely read Marmalade Boy.

One good shoujo that has to do with the entertainment world is Kodocha. It's about a 6th-grade child star trying to reform the class rebel.

And another, one of my favorites, is the 80s shoujo Cipher, which is about teen idol twins and a girl that finds out their secret. It also has the spinoff Alexandrite, which is about their model friend.
