I'm in the mood at the moment for a story that features a celebrity or a famous person as the main character, with all the the up's and down's that being a celebrity entails (i.e. disappointment, fears, triumph etc). When I say 'celebrity' I don't just mean acting or show business type stuff (although suggestions like that are good!), but maybe even a manga that has a person that is very well known... say, in a certain profession.

I've pretty much read the standard well known stories like this, so Skip beat, Glass mask, one, Kaikan phrase, nanaand love celeb are ones that I have finished.

If possible I would love suggestions for a story that features a celebrity not just like the ones above, but maybe with something kinda different as well... like being famous for being in a profession, or maybe even has a main character who is well known for who they are (like being a noble or royalty).

I kinda would like to keep the school life stuff to a minimum, if possible, cos I'm kinda board of the standard celebrity popular guy or girl. But apart from that , I would love any suggestions!

Well, I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but I will tell you what comes to mind (hopefully, it'll help!)

Aoi Spice (pretty cute love story between super famous singer and normal girl... the beginning is hilarious!)
Dramatic Love Album (one-shot by the same author of Skip Beat! about this girl who used to model but dropped out because of pressure)
Dream Kiss (main character is a girl who "runs" an enternainment inc, and deals with super hot future/present idols)
Kodocha (child actress... really good manga in my opinion!)
Tenshi Ja Nai (this one's set in school and it's a gender bender, so it may not suit your taste, but it's really good! You should definitely check it out!)

I don't know how you feel about shounen-ai/yaoi, but if you're okay with it, here are two more suggestions:

Fan (normal guy falls for idol, lots of problems ensue)
Gravitation (famous bands, singers, and novelist... pretty cool)
