I used to have a nickname that was a boring diminutive of my first name, but it died off years ago.

The only nickname that I get time to time is 'maldita' from my mother's side of the family, result of being a total brat when I was a kid.

It's depressing how everyone on the internet nicknames me as "Anime" coz of my username >.< It's so weird! In reality, I'm just The bright, hyper girl called "Deb".

Since there are so many Cindys in my school, my friend stuck the word "bar" at the end of my name.
so now its Cindy Bar.
A bar of Cindy as my bffs put it
so now my friends call me Cindy Bar, and I love my nick name.. it doesnt confuse the other cindys

No. I've always wanted one but no one will give it to me. When I was with my ex gf she didn't give one to me - but she started flirting with this guy (in front of me) and gave him a really cute nickname. I was really pissed. (Although I didn't dump her because of it.)

Pretty much all my nicknames are from my mom making fun of me. She usually either calls me grandma or Charlie. Grandma because she says I'm bossy like her mom and Charlie because she says I talk to much, like my cat Charlie.

Other then that I went though school without one.

They are not exactly nicknames but abbreviations of my name (sofia)- man I got lazy friends:

fifi,
mom (<- I guess that one is sort of a nickname).
Lastly, my family members call me:
chofia (when they are being overly sweet), or
monga/mustia (which means dummy when they are being mean or feel like ordering me around)

Kiki, Kitty, and Mimi

I was named after a kitten my parents briefly owned when I was just born, so my nicknames are cat oriented. Most people call me Mimi though. But I found later out that "Mimi" can mean boobs in Chinese slang rather than the kitten mews my parents ment. 🙁 Wtf

I generally only go by nickname Zan.
Other nicknames that I rarely go by are Alex and Zandra.
It actually feels like my real name is my nickname and vice versa because it's so strange when I hear anyone address me as Alexandra. xD

Wow i've had lots of nicknames. Various nicknames are related to my real name. Things like mel, manny, melania, melody, ect... I also have some wierd nicknames that came about for some random reason or another like kelly, orihime, lulu, melon head, bubble head, and ofcourse moomoo.

Ive only had the nickname Den from my family member but sometimes Dumby when i do something stupid. (my real name is Denby) My friends recently came up with a new name for me Denbu (Den-boo) My friend Leigh came up with it when he decided i would be the Casinos resident hooker Juju's apprentise. (not going to happen) Mostly everyones forgotten how i got it but they all call me that now.

My nickname is Kitty.
I got it back in middle school, and it's still used now ....
Probably because I hate people butchering my name, so I only let them know my nickname. Really how hard is it to mispronounce kitty.

I briefly had a nickname of Sparkle, and Diamond, but those didn't stick.

I sure did have a great time giving my friends nick names in highschool.
To this day I still call some of them by their nick name. Like Bunny, and Foxy ... this reminds me I should call them ...
