Personally, I'm fine with those that don't contribute. That automatically means they aren't worth my time, and I can just exit their topic as quickly as I entered.

"Hey...this person wants so and so.
Okay, see ya.

Hey, this person wants such and such.
Have a good day."

So easy to filter through and just ignore... Those kind of people are good to have around, sometimes.

But that's because other people are faster than me. But I do try to stay active in the forums.

And I don't really care about the ones who don't contribute. There are tons of people who come here just to look for manga, and that's completely fine.

But it does seem like there's been a boom in the "I'm Looking For..." section, and most of those threads are people looking for the same thing. So I will only agree with that. ^__^

I think if you ask for a recommendation, you should try to contribute to the forum in other ways too.
I would feel weird asking for a suggestion from a forum whose atmosphere and members I know nothing of.

I for one have posted many threads in the 'I'm Looking For...' section, but all of those were for forgotten titles. I don't think I've made any threads for recommendations, if I do I always bump older threads.

It's weird to make a thread recommendation nowadays that hasn't been made before, I think I've seen a thread for almost every topic I can think of. And it is a tad bit annoying when users can't use the searching function as it was meant to be used to search for the type of mangas they are asking for, and even more annoying when they don't specify what exactly it is they want, instead of using broad terms like, romance, cute, shoujo, etc...>_>

Ehhh, I've contributed a bit, mostly just by posting a lot and answering requests in the Looking for Threads.

At the same time, I don't really care if someone contributes or not. Its their choice.

Yes I see many posts in the "I'm looking for..." thread, some constantly repeated. I never bother to post though, usually people say my suggestions before I get a chance 🤣
I wonder if some of those people have seen the search filter here. I think it's amazing personally. I've managed to find loads of mangas through that 😃

As for those who make accounts and post once or twice, well, you're gonna get that in every forum you visit. I dunno, maybe they use the site everyday but just don't post, only posting when they feel it necessary. I did that. I joined up, but never posted. Then I decided to throw in my point of view and got hooked 🤣

But yeah, i'm not too fussed about them. You can see the main people who post around here a mile out. Let them join and make 2 posts. Don't bother me in anyway.

I try to contribute, especially in the I'm Looking For threads since I've read quite a few, but unfortunately I don't remember enough to actually help. 🙁 So, I just post elsewhere if I have something to say about the topic.

It's only slightly bothersome if others do post there and that's the end of them, especially if they don't look through the other threads first to ensure that it's not a repeat.

Yeah, but most of them are new/unfamiliar with the forums so I wouldn't hold it against them~ Even though they probably hate me for locking their threads. xD (I die a little inside each time . . . 😛 )
