So, I know back then I did get to read some stuff but it was either starting, super short (not a oneshot short) but mostly looking into a light hearted, comedy/drama/romance from beginning to end. (and maybe ongoing if you really think it's worth checking it out).

I'm taking your slashes in the title to mean either/or, so here are some recs:

The Boy Who Cried Wolf Also Told a Lie Today (cross-dressing / a bit more drama than comedy but overall nothing too heavy)
Brave New World (trans protagonist)
The Bride Was a Boy (trans protagonist)
Haruno to Natsukawa. (cross-dressing, shounen-ai-ish)
Kami-sama no Ekohiiki (shounen-ai, gender changes / gets a bit serious sometimes but overall light-hearted)
Prunus Girl (cross-dressing, shounen-ai-ish)
Seito Kaichou desu ga Josou Hajimemashita (cross-dressing)

Also, it's not the focus, but Zombie Cherry features a trans side character (who is treated astonishingly well, considering she starts out as a love rival in a shoujo romance), and the series itself is a romcom. Carat! also has one of the main characters (a guy) cross-dress, and the series itself is a comedy but there's no romance.

I am myself reading through I Turned My Childhood Friend (♂) Into a Girl and it's pretty cute I guess. Still new and ongoing
