.....i don't really see why people think girls don't play video games
that said...i'd probably lose to them, as i often have difficulties beating elementary kids on any game i'm extremely familiar with

Honestly, I don't blame guys for such stereotypes. Most girls I know don't play games and if they know them, they think they're boring and fag on myspace a AIM all day. I'm the only girl gamer I know. And honestly, game talk is better with guys. Girls think I'm flirting when I do, though. Whores.

If I had a Wii, I'd challenge the community to a match of Smash Brothers. Or Mario Kart, whichever.
I go away and suddenly the spammers are the mods. Okay, I can adjust to that, but... Gorath?! And what's up with Mam's not being the top poster?

Which both are good games when played together.

Do you have a preference of game types?

Well my sister (only 11 mind you) plays quite a handful of videogames.
Usually, whatever I buy and/or play, she'll also play. So she's played like Tales of Symphonia and Abyss (by herself and still had fun) in addition to other games such as the Devil May Cry series or Persona 3 (she'll most probably be playing P4 when it arrives)
She can get through the levels just fine, it's just that I think she doesn't understand the concept of some of the features that are in the game to help the play level faster, otherwise, she could care less about strategy or the items she uses.
Although when it comes to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, she's quite the expert (or maybe I'm losing my touch?). She's a really good Ike user and is also good at using Sonic (but I prefer Marth or Kirby). Other than that, it's not as if there's no such thing as a female gamer. You just don't see as much in proportion to the male gamers, right?
Besides, I know a couple of female friends that are casual gamers and one really hardcore gamer. She's more or less the equivalent of Konata from Lucky Star (plays a ton of RPG's, plays Touhou, MMORPG and the like)

In a RPG, girls usually play the healer characters => i want to play only one game with guys who think like this... then in the game i would "accidentally" kill them 😉
for me i love games any kinds of them.. i am not a big fan of sports and FPSs but i still play them, too 😎

lol When Resident Evil came out for Gamecube, I played it. I never finished because I couldn't get used to the controls, though.
When I play with my brother, I'm normally the healer, but sometimes with boss fights I'll get so wrapped up in trying to defeat him that I forgot and my brother ends up doing most of the healing.

My 15 year old little sister plays games fairly well. She's actually pretty good at Smash Bros. She'll play certain games all on her on sometimes, though she rarely finishes them. That is, unless it's a Tales of game; after playing one with me the first time, she'll completely beat it again multiple times, and slowly unlock everything.
Oh and in RPGs my sister never plays as the healer or whatever. She always plays as the "sexy bishounen guy".

i think it's cool when girls play games, especially the few who play some of the older stuff.
the ones that only play for attention though are pretty annoying.
