After I beat my (guy) best friend at just about every game he owned, he got a little pissed and stopped playing with me for a while. He bought a wii, and only invited me to play with him after about two months, when he challenged me to tennis... He won the first match, I won the following two.

We haven't played together again as of yet. Really, what is it with this silly pride? 😀

I mostly play rpg's, but I also enjoy racing games and... what would you term Mario and Zelda as? Adventure? Oh, well, I'm not big on horror games. So, I'm a girl that plays a wide range of games (even fighting games), I don't always play the healer, and if I were allowed to play MMORPG's, I would not assume all female characters are being played by males.

You shouldn't underestimate female games, and one of my closest acquaintances is a girl (too), and absolutely adores games, and probably kicks ass in them too. 😛 She plays fighting games, as well.

I guess, it is more rare to see girls gaming though in comparison to the overwhelming male majority that likes games. There are just more guys loving games, sadly. There needs to be more girl gamer power~!

It was funny when I played street fighter against someone in my 6th form. I had only been taught how to play the day before. I totally merked a guy who had been playing for a while. He couldn't believe it 🤣

I'm a female gamer as well but I don't really like MMORPGs. I don't really notice or care if the other player is male or not(and so do my friends). Although I was a bit offended when someone asked me if I was a boy while playing with a girl character. I like KO-ing other people in Brawl 😛 😀

that aside, in my few years of online gaming i got to know one girl that was quite good but a bitchy drama stirer. all the other girls (or rather women), including those i know irl, weren't that exceptional in their abilities and for the most part 30 or older. i don't know any girl my age that plays games on more serious matter
