Yeah why send hinata good question. Well probably for the byakugan, even though Neji is probably still better at that AND fighting. But it's good for character development.

But personaly if I were tsunade I would have kicked jiraya's butt untill he'd agree to go along. With that funky sannin on their side things would go a lot easier 😃 Further I would atleast force gai to join in the mission as well, since he's the only one that can fight itachi head on without looking in the eyes. Yamoto isn't a bad choice, now naruto can go 4-tail-kyuubi again and then yamato'll do his little thing to make him go normal again 🙂 Kakashi is good as well, superb ninja and good at tracking. **Shino **yeah he's good at tracking and communicating (via bugs) and his bugs protect him against normal genjutsu. The rest doesn't really have a special advantage against itachi or that monster of the hidden village of mist. (Sakura can heal though 🤨 )

sidenote: Naruto should get a sword too for two reasons:

• His chakra's nature is that of the wind !! Hello? at least asuma had some knuckle-knives
• When he fights sasuke we can have even more fighting action! Some hot ninjutsu's followed by some samurai-godlike-kenshin-style-swordfighting 😀

Yeah cano I kinda thought bow too for the same reasons but it might look a little wierd for her she's not dressed to be an archer or maybe she is under the cloak. Who knows? The best weapon for a wind-chakra user is a swordlike weapon.
When kakashi explains the types of chakra and asuma gives his advice they explain it.
Because wind chakra is the power to cut, slice and sever anything.
Infuse a blade with wind chakra and the blade will be able to cut through nearly anything + you will be able to extend the length of the blade at anytime.
(Like asume extended the blades of the knuckles, like he did when first fighting the monster of the village of the hidden mist (forgot his name, partner of uchiha itachi, kisame?)

And don't forget, learning to handle a sword shouldn't form a problem for naruto, as long as he trains with a thousand bunshin's !!

A rapier for hinata.. yeah I like the idea but I don't think it'll happen (nor will the naruto-sword idea.. probably 🤢 )

No no I can see both of them happening if kishimoto is truly a genius I totally get what you're saying about the sword for Naruto it makes sense but it could look wierd or it could look awesome. 🙂

I don't think we should expect too much exposition between Naruto and Hinata.
This is a dead serious mission they're on, and I think it's even one of the (if not THE) last big mission we'll see in the manga. Especially with Akatsuki already having caught every Bijuu aside from Naruto and one unknown other.
All in all, I think we're about halfway part 2.

Face it, this is a shounen manga. If you want to see romantic relationships worked out properly you're reading the wrong stuff. Or blame Kishimoto for ever hinting at some sort of relationship; which was obvious would never have been developed.
Even though, I like Hinata too, and would like to see some sort of evolution in that aspect.

I've said it clearly several times but the hinata fan club has optimism that by some stroke of genius kishi will grow a somewhat more romantic brain and realize fighting isn't everything and hinata needs more page appearances 🙁 as well as the fact that throwing in some romance won't kill his series it will make it better.
