Do you like Shinjo Mayu's series?

I like her art, but her stories are sometimes not so great. The thing I don't like about her series is the similar character traits that are quite annoying and repetitive. But her works aren't that awful. I like her non-smut series. If Shinjo Mayu didn't focus on making annoying characters (especially in her smuts), she's actually a pretty good author. So far, I like that one-shot Apple! from Goshimei desu!

Honestly, I think her's was the first smut I read. I think I enjoyed it during that time but as I read more manga, well, her stories weren't the best and the art... 😐

Are you fing kidding me? All of her stories are exactly the same, with the same characters. All handsome guys are fed up and always lead and sexual stuff is always so normal with the ego and confidence up the wazoo, while the girls always take what the guys dish out without any sort of understanding/reason/sanity/etc. I mean, some of the situations are so unrealistic that I can't even read most series, and the ones I did read I dropped. U kidding me? No offence to the mangaka, but that is not the stuff I would EVER read for PLEASURE.

HAHA! I never thought someone would actually post a thread about shinjo mayus work.
But I have to say even though that I like it out of pleasure or not, there arent any GOOD reasons to like her series. Atleast to me. Hate the female leads. They wanna be put in the corner or rape.. Fine, if the characters love those stuff. But when their family or someone they love or who was there with them for a long time is INVolve.. theyre willing to just bail on them.. MOST or maybe all and go back to someone who violated them. At that point i dont blame the one who rapes the girl anymore. cos they SOMEHOW wanted it.
BIG EXAMPLE: Haou Airen. I dont pity the girl there at all.
I guess her manga is work she lets out her fantasy of being (..). What's sad to me is, a female, is the one writing these stories of worthless girls not just once or twice.
Im no strong feminist. I understand that some girls arent that strong or mentally capable of many things. but her work to me is just sad. Why do I read them? well.. when i start something i finish them. and im looking forward to where her work is gonna be a bit different from the previous. but maybe its her style.
BUT if you guys like them, I dont insult your taste.. maybe we all have our own fetishes when it comes to the genres,scenarios in mangas or movies or whatsoever.. sometimes we just happen to Feel the manga despite the things wrong in it.
I dont mind the stories having rape in them.. as long as its not that kinda rape and be like, i forgive you blablabla, cos im a nice person laadeedah! Im not fascinated with rape.. if thats what some of you are thinking. aslong as the situation flows with the story, like a girl walking on an empty street thn got taken and rape by some thugs.. or it goes with how the chracters are or whatever, blablabla you should get what i mean.
about the smut, i dont mind.. aslong as it flows with the story and how the characters were, not just randomly put there or shown for fan service.
P.S i actually like Apple!, One of her stories that are bearable to me. Its actually cute 😉

I cant compare mayu w/ whats her name since the manga i read from shinjo mayu's left more of a mark on me thn whats her names' mangas. i do love the jokes only when the story is bearable of Yuki(too lazy to spell her name)'s work, not the one with the horny as*s girl though.

Sure, her characters aren't serious in most cases, but they're fun and sincere.

The only thing I've read by Shinjo Mayu was Love Celeb.
It was one of my early smuts and it seemed ok at the time.
15 chapters later it seemed annoying as hell so I dropped it.
I tried checking out something else by her, but the characters put me off immediately.

They arent? Well, atleast shinjo mayu is popular to me. My friends who reads mangas told me about her mangas and how they are.. i figured shinjo mayu is. and that yuki(..) i guess shes not as well known as the other one. hmm. well i dont know 😛
