Wait, if I remember correctly, Kishimoto took a break last week right? Does that mean... he took a whole fortnight just to present us this... crap?
god..... ur right.... =_=................fail.
Kishimoto seems to be taking some lessons from Kubo. 😐

Well, I've always hated Sakura b/c I found her useless and annoying, so this chap didn't really make much of a change in my opinion of her. At times I hated Naruto for being so hung up on such a whiny fangirl. Right when I thought it was all in the past, I had to roll my eyes and groan loudly when they resurrected this dead storyline.
Why can't Kishimoto take lessons from Toriyama and have random hookups at the end, or have a romance set up from the start and ignore it until the end.

I was happy to see that Kishimoto let Naruto see through this "confession" from the very start. It looks like Naruto is going to let everyone know that his drive for Sasuke has little to do with Sakura's feelings and more to do with his own. Sai and the others made her feel ashamed of her love for the Emo and I think that Naruto will help her to hold her head up about her true feelings. No one is going to change his mission and he will tell Sakura not to let anyone stand in the way of her feelings.[/quote]
Sadly, I can see this happening too. Naruto will ignore his own feelings for Sakura and tell Sakura to keep on honestly loving Sasuke. Stupid, goo-natured Naruto!
And whatever, you said that you had no idea why people made such a hype about NaruSaku, I think you havent really looked at the manga properly otherwise it would've been clear that Naruto loved Sakura with all his heart. Even Sasuke realised it back at the very beginning of the manga when Sakura was bad mouthing Naruto infront of Sasuke, and Sasuke had a flashback of Naruto talking about how truly he loved Sakura, so Sasuke got pissed off at Sakura and called her annoying, honestly its been clear throughout the manga when Naruto gave Sakura the looks filled with warmth spoke volumes about his feelings for her or when Sakura said to Naruto "That he didn't know how it felt not to have one's loved acknowledged" and Naruto replied to Sakura with a sad face "That he knew EXACTLY HOW IT FELT" but dumb Sakura was soo caught-up in EmoSuke didnt even ask Naruto how he knew so much about unrequitted love?
And before you guys come grabbing for my neck I will let you know that I liked Sakura and Hinata almost equally, so I have always been pretty neutral but deep down, a small part of me actually preferred NaruSaku because I thought Naruto would be a very happy person if Sakura truly came to love him and I felt I would like to see Naruto rewarded for everything he has done for her but I must say this ends all doors for NaruSaku froom ever happening as now its clear as daylight to me that Sakura can never truly get over Sasuke and even the helpless fool Naruto would help and support Sakura in her love for Sasuke ignoring his own feelings.

I knew that Naru-Sakura wasn't happening as soon as I read the final conversation between Tsunade and Jiraiya. If you remember, they reminisce about old times for a while, and Jiraiya says that Tsunade always turned him down. Then he says that rejection makes a man stronger, or some such bs.
Since there are all of these echos between Jiraiya/Tsunade/Orochimaru and Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke, you just know that Sakura and Naruto will never be together, but that he'll be okay anyway.
And I never thought I'd be defending Sakura, but honestly, people, she's a sixteen-year-old girl. Of course she's insecure and obsessed with some good looking, androgynous, emo jerk who treats her like dirt. (If Sasuke were in a band, it would be perfect.)
Then, of course, all of her friends get on her case about the nice guy that everyone likes, but nobody is dating. "Why don't you like Naruto?" "Naruto really likes you. He's such a good guy. He saved the village." "Blah blah blah."
She feels guilty that the nice guy is pining over her, so she tries to make the "good" choice that everyone seems to want her to make. Yeah, it's a weak decision, but it's not awful, and it's really a pretty typical thing to happen between people.
Good for Naruto, though. He's having none of it.

This might possibly be the most humiliating thing that's happened to Naruto in a manga filled with humiliating things that've happened to him.
Seriously, if I was 16 and the person I'd always loved made a fake confession of love to me--and in front of my friends and teachers, no less!--there wouldn't have been a rock big enough for me to crawl under.
How far was Sakura willing to take this? Dating for a week or two? Being exclusive for a few months? I mean, what? Would she have married Naruto to make him forget Sasuke? I get her wanting to take responsibility for her actions and applaud her for it, but this was, as everybody has already said, a poor way to go about it.
But you know, I think what really sort of bugged me the most about Sakura's confession is that from her previous demeanor, it made it seem like she was ready to have a mature conversation with Naruto. And what do we get? Not Sakura speaking frankly with Naruto the way Shikamaru spoke with her. Instead, she makes a lame attempt at using her "feminine wiles" on Naruto. It's rather out of character for Sakura to be seductive, period. I almost felt like really the impetus behind this scene was Kishimoto going on sexist autopilot and saying to himself: "It's a female character who wants to be manipulative, of course she'd try and do it THIS way!"

Hinata's confession was waaaayyyy more courageous!
I really didn't like the way Sakura used a "love confession" for this. Damn.
Kishimoto is a genius at making me dislike Sakura.
Well, let's see what happens next time~
Less sappy soap dramas, moar fighting action.

I don't think it's seduction. For the past couple of chapters, Kishimoto has been throwing this giant red herring that a massive part of Naruto's motivation for chasing after Sasuke was Sakura. That's what all the other kids think at least. So Sakura bought into it and decided to try and play that card to keep Naruto out of trouble. It came across like she knew the plan was half-baked, but wanted to believe in it anyway. (I dunno, it seems like she kind of wishes she were in love with him from her rantings on Sasuke.) I think it's just Kishimoto working through all those ideas to reaffirm that Naruto chasing after Sasuke really isn't about Sakura, that Sakura's still gone on Sasuke (which may be important in some of the upcoming chapters), and that Naruto's grown up.
I totally loved this chapter, 'cause I think there was some truly awesome character development in it. Naruto shines for telling Sakura off, 'cause it's just such growth from the beginning of the manga. Even Sakura shows solid development, 'cause, as someone else said, that conflict between the sensible and stupid choice is so relatable.

I think this could just mean the opposite. I remember Tsunade being pretty sad when she got the news Jiraiya died, realizing she actually loved him. And I think I remember her telling Sakura to not deny her true feelings or something. What it boiled down to was that Tsunade couldn't accept Jiraiya because he was such a goofball, like Naruto, but in reality really loved him. She just denied it. Thus telling Sakura not to make the same mistake.
I could remembering it wrong, it's been well over a year since then so if someone has a better view or even a link to the chapter feel free to correct me.

Yeah I felt the same way, that Sakura Kinda sees that Naruto is by far the better man and the one who truly loves her and she wished that she was in love with him but the truth is, Sakura cant help but love Sasuke and her love for Emosuke is certainly gonna be a big part of Naruto's rehabilitation plan of bring the sad jerk Sasuke back on the path of light.
@The Guy, you are absolutely right that foreshadowing should've actually meant the opposite and I, too, thought that it was Tsunade's way of telling Sakura that who she thought she loved(i.e Sasuke) wasn't the one who she truly loved (i.e Naruto). I hoped and was happy to see Sakura get closer and closer to Naruto, and see him in new light that Sakura was truly falling in love with Naruto and I hoped Tsunade was right about it but it turns out after this chapter that I was wrong because despite the fact that Sakura knows how much Naruto loves her and how much he has done for her and how much Naruto means to her as he always stayed by her side, Sakura still truly loves Sasuke and can never really love Naruto in a romantic way. This chapter has ended all possible doors of NaruSaku in my eyes

Erm, wasn't that Naruto posing as Sasuke...? Or am I thinking of something else...
