I think the original poster mixed up two events. Sasuke told off Sakura for complaining about Naruto, but the trigger was when she said Naruto was spoiled because he didn't have parents. I think the convo with Naruto about Sakura may have been just before that convo or something. Even then, everyone knew about Naruto-> Sakura 'cause he was really blatant about it. Even Sakura knew, she just didn't take it all that seriously 'cause Naruto usually treated it as a joke.

In a non-romantic way, that's sort of become a major point of the manga: Sasuke's acceptance of Naruto's role in his life and everything Naruto means/stands for.

i don't understand sakura...honestly i thought she really liked naruto, on a manga chapter captain yamato even said that she was cleary in love with naruto, so what's up with that fake confession... ("I hate people who lie to themselves!").

Hmmm... I just read the Sleepyfans scanlation. It makes me a little more sympathetic to Sakura as that version more clearly implies that it wasn't only a fake confession, but also Sakura wanting to move on from Sasuke. Of course, that's what we've all wanted from her for a very long time, but only if she's sincere about it! 🙁

No, it was really Sasuke. Naruto did impersonate Sasuke, and his plan was to act like a jerk toward her, but he needed to use the bathroom, or something like that. So, the person who called Sakura annoying was in fact Sasuke. Now, as someone else said, I think dark_mage is mixing 2 events, but the person who called Sakura annoying was Sasuke.

Oh, I absolutely agree that Tsunade loved Jiraiya very, very much. I'm also certain that Yamato was right and that Sakura loves Naruto dearly - BUT - it's not romantic love for either of them.

I think that for Tsunade, that Dan guy who died was "the one," and there would never be anyone else for her. Poor, sad-sack Sakura is also a one-man kind of woman, but she chose a d*ck like Saskue.

It's a bummer, but you can't make yourself be attracted to someone just because they're the smart choice. Sakura loves Naruto enough to do anything for him, I'm sure, but she's just not into him that way.

You are quite wrong there Dude! Tsunade did love Dan but at the same time Tsunade did realise that she has come to love Jiraya over time because she clearly said and MEANT it that if Jiraiya came back from his last mission, she would accept his confession and love him back with all her heart if you remember it. That's why, right after Jiraiya's death and when he failed to return safely to Tsunade, she gave that advice to Sakura that she should cherish and realise her true love while there was still time. The main difference between Jiraiya and Naruto is,--- Jiraiya was competing against a dead man(Dan) and Jiraiya never once gave up on his love for Tsunade and kept on persisting and kept on persuing Tsunade but Naruto, is competing against an Sasuke who is still aive, his "Brother-in-Arms" and Naruto had kinda lost hope and accepted the fact that Sakura can never really love him in a romantic sense, and so, unike Jiraya Naruto stopped being persistent in his love and has given up on persuing Sakura as he became more mature, although Naruto still loves Sakura, he keeps it concealed(well until Sai revealed it for him) and until he got enough strength/conviction in him to accept that he cant win against Sasuke and was confident/brave enough to throw away his happiness for Sakura's happiness

the way i see it, both sai and sakura have got it all wrong, he's not chasing sasuke for sakuras sake. madara already said it, their fates are woven together, thats why their friendship is independent of sakura. their bonds were formed long before sakura was even around

So Sakura couldn't just tell him straight up to not worry about going after Sasuke? I mean, either way she was gonna fail at stopping him because she doesn't know that Naruto's doing it for more than just her (You know, with the bonds that Naruto doesn't want to destroy and all), but the way she went with this was just downright wrong. I'm just glad that Naruto saw through it (Which somebody said before that it did seem out of character for him to realize this when reading people isn't one of his strong suits).

And something tells me that Kisame's gonna beat Killerbee. 🙁

You hit the nail on the head. I think that's why Naruto's mostly calm about the whole thing and why he told Sai to stay out of it. Sai, clearly jumped to conclusions and told Sakura which Naruto advised him not to do. Naruto most likely doesn't see this quest as a simple promise to Sakura anymore, but something he took on for himself, on his own principles.

I'd like to think that the only person to ever fully master the "sage" technique, wouldn't be rule by some childish crush.

This is pretty much why i've never like sakura. Cmon Naruto manhandled pain when jiraiya was dead and no one else could. At least give him the decency of honesty.

I do feel bad for all the sakura fans cause this is pretty bad. She could have just made him promise not to go after sasuke and said she didnt want him to risk his life for a wuss.

I really wish they toned down sakura pre-ts and i had thought they made her better post-ts but i guess i was wrong.

Dude its obvious that Sakura was just bullshiting but its also obvious its just a plot twist. Look at after the 4-tails battle and what Yamamoto said (or was about to). Then the random Hinata confession. Kishimoto is adding more romance to the story. I also dont think Sakura is so evil she just saw it as a way to get naruto to stop chasing Sasuke. She doesnt love Naruto yet but she is starting to have feelings. I bet the Sasuke will end up almost killing her like pain to Hinata. Then out comes sage fox mode. Mandora will then send out some bujii and they will aid Sasuke and Naruto will end up beating them and Sakura will then realize she loves him. Then there will be a massive side story over who will get him Hinata or Sakura and if Kishimoto wants to hell add a couple more chicks to the story to add to the Harem. You see its less about what the fans want and more about what will make the story go on longer and make more money.

I think everybody is being a little too hostile toward Sakura. Think about it from her view, even if it sucks. She wants to protect naruto, maybe she realizes that getting him killed just to bring back sasuke is not the best plan lol, but I really dislike how she totally ignores how naruto feels about sasuke.

Oh question... in any of the manga or anime has sasuke ever really showed any sense of liking to sakura?
