The statement "The Whether today sucks" is an opinion. Just because you think something sucks doesn't make it a fact. Some people like weather that sucks for you. Only in your opinion does that weather suck.

So When I say, Yuri sucks or Yaoi rocks. It is an opinion.

Call it a flaw in the language or whatever, but we humans know that it is your opinion when you say it like that. If you want to make sure that you state is as an opinion then add an "imo" or "I think" etc. If you don't, it may be interpreted as offencive and/or provoking. Thus biased. You can't really battle out between these two since if you generalize this topic, as if you were saying "Guys vs Girls", a very broad type of topic to be discussed.

Yaoi has either girl or gay fans
Yuri has straight guys or lesbians

As a girl, I guess I prefer Yaoi, since what's Yuri for me if I actually have the same body figure? Although most of the time as an artist, I can draw Yuri better than Yaoi for the same reason that I don't "need" to watch Yuri.

For guys, well, it's typical to love Yuri, since it twists the deepest fantasy of guys. 2 hot or cute gals doing it.

Otaku subjects to such genres since the REAL (actual person/reality) pornographic material used for such genres are...Ack! So disgusting! It's just pornography.

I didn't know this forum has Yuri fan more than Yaoi fan.^^.
About me, I prefer Yaoi, but I don't dislike Yuri, either.
To be fair, I chose both.

I read both. I'm the type who tries all kind of genres. The more I like, the more I can read is what I aim. And if this was a decade ago and I was still in middle school, and I was introduced to yuri and yaoi and someone asked me this question, I would still say I read both even at that age.

I would even say as far back as grade 5, I would still be able to say I read both if I was introduced to them by someone (I am that kind of person). Although it had to be a very light yuri and yaoi, just holding hands and pecking please. At that age, I would say I would be willing to try yuri first.

Hate Yaoi.

And I don't really appreciate Yuri either.

Love Yaoi.
