Eccentric, goofy older men in shoujo/josei (romantic) manga

Are there more eccentric, slightly-off older male leads like the ones in 'Ojikoi' and 'Don't cry, girl' paired off with a younger girl (who plays the straight woman sometimes).

The guys are just...cool in a really eccentric way while the girls are awesome in the normal way (the girl in DCG made me laugh like crazy).

I noticed that there are very few romance manga with the "oyaji' tag. Not that I don't understand why, I just can't find more manga with oyaji (or just just older men in general - thirties?) who enter the heroines' lives and, from day one, turn it upside down with their "common sense".

They're the oddly lovable, dorky older men with weird (slightly perverted is ok, i.e. 'Ojikoi') quirks.

I don't want any abusive older male leads, or ones that have interests that would be too creepy (no stalkers, etc.). No hentai, either, please.

I know I could just go search up 'Age Gap' and 'Older male x younger female' tagged manga, but often, the only interesting thing about the male lead is his age ( and sometimes the male is also older by only one or two years).

Really appreciate it! I've been rereading the two manga I've mentioned the past few days and am looking for more~!

What about Otoko no Isshou ?
Though if i'm not mistaken , the male lead is in his fourties or fifties

Ah, I agree, those Mangas are pretty cool. The following ones may not exactly like them, but at least there may be some similar aspects:

________________

"It's like love is a bonus in your life. Even without it, I'm just fine. I don't feel like pointlessly searching for it. You don't have to make yourself unhappy." (Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji)

"Why does it rain?" - "To create drama." (Drops (Andou Yuki))

Thanks for the suggestions!

@Yankee-chan:

Thanks for the suggestions; I've already read Kore wa Koi no Hanashi, Dengeki Daisy and Oresama Teacher (yes, anyone who doesn't know about these has been living under an anti-shoujo rock 😀 ), Yume Miru Taiyou, Gekkan Shoujo Nozoaki-kun, Kimi o Chuushin ni Sekai wa Mawaru, Tora to Ookami, Torikagosou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi.

Haven't really read through Shiga Futari o Wakatsu Made (the male character was too depressing - I like the quirky, funny, always optimistic type 😀 )

@candicane : Thanks, I'll try that one

@Roughan: Wow, no I wasn't really meaning that old. maybe late 30s to 50s,lol. Thanks though!

How about Hirunaka no Ryuusei? It's not translated far, but it might fit your criteria~

Miman Renai was rather tastefully done in my opinion.

@cloudmaster316: Thanks, but the male lead, to me, looks like he's barely in his 20s. But even more than that, what turned me off from reading it completely was that he seems awkwardly possessive and slightly likes mind games a bit too much for my tastes.

@Snakering : Thanks - I knew someone would probably bring that up. But doesn't he kidnap her or something? I'm slightly scared to try that one.

@Kimi _ Feti : Thanks - that's actually one of the ones I'm already reading right now, but I totally recommend it for anyone who hasn't read it yet - the characters are adorable. The teacher isn't old, though. He also looks like he's in his early twenties.

Okay, so far we have:

Ojikoi
Miman Renai
Don't cry, girl
Otoko no Isshou
Hirunaka no Ryuusei - this one's a maybe (he is goofy. Any teacher who goes "Yay, an indirect kiss with a high school girl" is considered eccentric, if not creepy, in my book. But he manages to look cute, so dunno).
Kore wa Koi no Hanashi
Yume Miru Taiyou (I'm so disappointed with Taiga in the recent chappies, though.)

i know something almost perfect: Baby Pop. although the romantic relationship isn't between the older man and the girl, the manga focuses entirely on the relationship they do build, and he's a weirdo while she's the cool beauty. there is romance, though. it's a really great manga.

others that might fit:
sugar family

Just remembered, that the male main characters of Ousama no Shichiya (Maybe, it's been a while...) and Heaven's Door (HONGOU Ranko) may also be interesting. The latter is a tragedy, but the first meeting of the main characters was somewhat weird - and at the same time pretty well executed, at least for me. And - As I come to think of it, so far there isn't an age gap, but Teke Teke Rendezvous' main is also quite 'on the weird side', but nonetheless got me to like him. Maybe he is also worth a look?... ^^"

@Yankee-chan: Thanks for the suggestions!

Ousama no Shichiya - the male lead was just mean, imo, and the female seemed pathetic.
Heaven's Door (HONGOU Ranko) - seems kind of sad... ; _ ;
Teke Teke Rendezvous' - haven't read it yet.

@gwkimmy: Baby Pop is soo true! Sugar family doesn't really fit, imo, because Daichi is only 24/25 ish, but thanks!
