I run like a ninja whenever I run. It's fun, and besides, you'll run faster if you aren't afraid of falling and get it right.

No, but I know one kid who does. He throws his arms back and everything.

Then again he's just weird in general

You are doing it wrong.

Agreed. 😀 If you seriously run like a ninja (without trying to get a laugh with your buddies) and even view it as the 'proper' way, then you are obsessed. >.<

Thats exactly why every track athlete does it right?....

Edit: Scratch that, maybe I am not picking up the correct tone from that.

If athletes did that, they would fall flat on their faces. 🤣

You do know that when you swing your arms at a high tempo (the normal way), that you're actually maintaining your balance. >.< ... I think. 🤣

Actually by pumping your arms, like the track athletes do, you increase the tempo that your legs are moving at. The faster your legs go, the faster you move.
Also the less that you legs are touching the ground the faster you are going. Also by leaning over the whole time you have to be constantly accelerating which means at some point you're gonna stop accelerating and fall flat on your face.

The ninja running style is completely a waste of energy. To run fast you need to have you legs under your center of gravity. The only time you need you legs behind you is for acceleration.

Also you look like a complete retard when you run this way. Trust me. I saw a kid in my P.E. class do this. We made fun of him. For several reasons. One being his mile time was almost twelve minutes. Some fat kids beat him. I still can't figure out how that happened.

If someone has a video of a kid running this way they should post it on youtube or something so we can all get a laugh in.

there are two styles of running that makes me laugh so hard if i see someone runs like:

Sakuragi in slam dunk.. pumping his hands up high..

&

this ninja running style.. looks like a bull try to rummaging a matador..lol..

of course, i prefer the old style running.. though, i cannot be an athlete.. 😢

hmmm... i never thought of it like a ninja, but i sometimes have been known to stick my hands out while running... in all truthfullness, i think i picked it up watching little goku on dragonball.

besides, you can't see a ninja run in anything. you know a ninja is running when their picture suddenly fades away, and they appear above you or behind you. otherwise, it is called ninja jogging... b/c every1 knows a ninja is too fast for the eyes. You think you see something in the corner of your eye, turn to look, and all that is there is a footprint (b/c it is a new ninja, cant cover his tracks yet...) 😀

The only possible advantage I can see that running like a ninja might have is if your are holding something that you need to fight with since maybe you could use it better while running...but Im not even sure if thats the case.

I tried it, not infront of anybody (thank god). It did increase my speed, but there's no way in hell I'd ever do that in public.

it might increase ur speed, but it lowers ur balance and coordination like hell. I never understood that tho, like if you were fighting while running thru woods, you wouldn't let ur arms flap uselessly behind you, i think you'd rather have them up near u body to possibly ward off attacks.
