I'm looking for a manga with supernatural and mystery element such as ghosts and exorcise evil spirits and follow a suspense/horror style like a detective story. Something similar to Ghost Hunt - esp similar to this - , Mushishi, Hyakki Yakoushou, Natsume YuujinChou and Katana

A little romance is ok but the primary focus should be on the mystery/ghost thing instead of mussy love. Also, there shouldn't be much action like Shaman King or Bleach or Inuyasha - as little action/adventure as possible. Comedy is ok but the main focus should be on the supernatural thing; Kimagure Orange Road is too much on the comedy and romance but not enough mystery/supernatural.

I'd prefer Seinen or Josei but any demography group is ok as long as it fits the above theme. No yaoi, yuri, shounen-ai or shoujo-ai (a little is ok but not too much).

Also, there should be at least 3 volumes scanlated for the manga series. If possible the scanlation should be on-going and active within the last 6 months or finished scanlation.

I'm also looking for anime with similar theme. Anime should have at least 13 eps, Should either be finished in subbing or is currently release at a steady pace.

The Kamichu! anime is excellent. It's about a girl who somehow (unexplained) becomes a Shinto deity, a kami, and follows her sort of growing into the role and interacting with other kami and her friends. It's more innocent and sedate than those you mention, but it's along the same vein I guess.

Some manga you might be interested in...
Mana
Arcana Soul
Skyhigh
Skyhigh Karma
Genjuu no Seiza
Kyoukai no Rinne
Otogi Moyou Ayanishiki
Kamisama Hajimemashita

Off the top of my head...

Yumekui Kenbun [<--I just started it myself. It's pretty good]
Tactics [<-- It's pretty much fits what you want (the anime too).]
Detective Loki [<-- I heard the manga gets romance later... I haven't read up to that part yet. Epic~ The anime's completely subbed. You can find this and Tactics (all episodes) on Veoh 8D]

Shinrei Tantei Yakumo - Akai Hitomi wa Shitteiru might be too short (since you're looking for at least 3 volumes), but it's spot on.

Kobatotei Ibun <-only 1 volume in total.
Mouryou no Hako (go for the anime, but you'll have to wait for the subs to finish, we just got 10 the other day, and it's generally beyond my Japanese ability.)
The title story of Hotarubi no Mori e and what has been scanlated so far of Filament. This, however, falls short of your volume requirement.

going in a slightly more Mushishi-ish direction: Hanashippanashi and perhaps Majo.

There is a good chance that I will think of more later.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Although there are fewer than 3 volumes scanlated, you might be interested in Mononoke.

Also, some of the stories in Pahanjip are very good.

Banhonsa is mediocre, in my opinion, but it fits the supernatural mystery mold.

Mail fits the bill perfectly. And if you like that, you should also enjoy Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service as well.
