Unexpectedly Strong+Funny Characters

Wasn't sure how else to title this, nor if Unexpectedly was actually a word...
Oh well, basically, I just realized that I'm a fan of all mangas in which the main character acts like a complete fool, and no one expects anything out of him, until out of nowhere we get some random situation where he's shown as having some amazing power/being totally badass.
Like... Vash from Trigun Maximum , Shautieh from Bowling King , or Chunwha from Id.

Pretty much half of all shounen has a character like this...
Air Gear - Ikki
Eyeshield 21 - Almost everyone from the Devil Bats
Hajime no Ippo - Everyone from Ippo's gym
Reborn! - Tsuna
Saru Lock - Saru
Mr. Fullswing - Alot like Bowling King but even wackier
etc.

I guess out of those the only one that really fits with what I'm looking for is... Mr. Fullswing. I've read the rest of them as well, but all of those other than Mr. Fullswing have characters that are generally strong in some way or another. Like... Hajime no Ippo...like you said, everyone is badass.
In Reborn!, Tsuna is a weakling and a pansy in the beginning, which I definitely dislike.
In Mr. Fullswing, he's just a badass, and out of nowhere he hits a home run into the school clock, now THAT'S ownage 😀

Just go read any first chapter of any action comedy shounen genre manga and you'll find who you're looking for.
Oh yeah! Except for Kenichi from History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. He works his way through hell before reaching the "Unexpectedly Strong+Funny Character" title.
