Something with nice art. I love Arina Tanemura's, Matsuri Hino's, Nana Haruta's and Kaho Miyasaka's art. <3

I would love to read something like Kare First Love.

But I want to be able to read something that's not your typical shoujo, but still is shoujo, if you get what I mean? D:

I definitely reccomend bokura ga ita. Though the art goes abit downhill in later volumes, it's plot makes up for it. Really unique set of characters and plot.
I personally love gokinjo monogatari (by the author of nana) but the art doesn't really seem to be your thing...?
Kare first love was really good, i read it too <3
Oh and [/m]B.O.D.Y[m] is quite nice, though the plot is a little cliche

Hrm... well, there's Crimson Hero, which has nice art and a not-totally typical plot. Same goes for Emma.
Metamo Kiss has adorable art and an interesting story.
Akuma to Love Song has gorgeous artwork and is totally unique, and Bitter Virgin's pretty attractive, plus the story is awesome.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama! isn't as original as the above, but l'art, c'est tres belle!
Reaching You has great art and is totally hilarious, and Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen looks like it might turn out to be the same.
And if you liked Kare First Love, you may like Moe Kare!!, which has really nice art and a somewhat similar story... in terms of cuteness, at least.

Try 'Sprout', the plot is very realistic and not at all cliche & the art's pretty cute too.

and for a stretch, Ai Yazawa and Kaori Yuki have amazing art as well, but not prolly what you're looking for.
