I'm looking for medical manga in general and one that I can't identify.

Summary:
A little boy had a heart condition and a doctor preformed a operation that helped save his life. The little boy has some genius skills in the field because he wants to because a great cardiologist like the doctor that saved his life. He saves his friends life and gets told why the doctor (that saved his life) does what he does. He tells him about the tree of life and then the little boy goes to the states. He wins an award then returns to Japan where the doctor gets promoted to a professor (lost the chance to become one before the little boy moved to the states because the doctor let him save his friend's life when they were fishing and he had extra blood in one of his organs).

I remember all this but I can't remember what the manga was called. Thanks in advance.

Saijou no Meii - Sounds like about right.

As for medical manga in general:

Team Medical Dragon
GodHand Teru
Black Jack ni Yoroshiku
