Then actually list out those that are wrong so we can judge for ourselves

Just found them in seinen with female lead categories:
Aлёша
Be Our Guest
Kobato
Girl Friends

Are the artstyles more like shoujo/josei??

It does not matter who the lead of the series is or what the drawing style is.

The only thing that matters is what magazine it's published in.

All the examples you made are Seinen.

It seems that you don't understand yet. Look: It's true that Yotsuba to! may be put into a shoujo magazine without any problem -and it could even be successful- but if a manga is seinen or not it's not decided by us, but by the japanese. It doesn't matter what we think: A manga is classified by the age and gender of its target audience, not by its contain.
It could be the most childish, plotless and pointless manga but if the japanese says that it's targeted at an 18–30 year old male audience, it's seinen without doubt.

Nope, my point was basically asking what MU want to display to its readers
The content related info? or the magazine's genre.
Note that the DB already have serialized in what magazine field included.

 1. I don't really think Jp publishers are gods. By the time they decide to put a series into seinenshi or shounenshi, how many % of the series have they read?
 2. Is everything inside a seinenshi only for seinen? (Note that minors can buy them too, there's no real meaning.)
 3. As people already pointed out, even Japanese readers may have different opinions.
 4. There are a number of series which have no definite audience sectors. In fact, often, the most successful works are able to gear to a wide audience.
 5. Are readers opinions important too?

Suggestions:

 1. Allow more than one age/sex genre per series. Or add some arbitrary genre like all-age, sexually-neutral.
 2. Or simply rename the genre as magazine-genre to avoid confusion. The field could be automatically filled once the magazine's name is added.

How many times do we have to say this.

It only matters what demographic the magazine, in which the series was published in, targets offically.

All else does not matter.

If the series has adult or mature themes, add "adult" or "mature" to the genre NOT Seinen or Josei.

Readers opnions are important... but not for which demographic the series is.

It's pointless to keep dicussing this. The answer will be the same... However, if there is a real problem with a series, the users can request a change and a locking of the series genre section.

Can we just lock this discussion already seeing that there's not much reasoning to keep it going for the same few people who just doesn't seem or want understand how things actually work... 🙄

All of them. Publishers read everything they publish.

Opinions have no bearing on facts.

For categories, yes.
