I've been reading a lot of yaoi recently 😀 However, I keep coming across mangas where the power dynamic always seems to be shifted towards one partner, they control the relationship and the intimacy and the other (generally said to be 'straight' before the start of the relationship) shies away or what have you. I'd like to find one where they're equally into the relationship. I'd also prefer something with ... less shoujo-y art, I suppose for lack of a better term. The Carp on the Chopping Block Jumps Twice is a good example art wise 😀 Can be yaoi or just shounen-ai.

Most of Sadahiro Mika's couples are equal and reversible (uke can be at the top and seme at the bottom). I only read Mukizu ja irarenee and Pathos though.

I guess the couples from Junjou Egoist and Junjou Terrorist (from the manga Junjou Romantica are more or less equally standing, even if the uke stay uke and the seme stay seme.
Same conjecture in Crimson Spell, the relationship between the two characters is pretty complicated but the seme only force the uke at the beginning, then it's the uke who ask for it. 🤣
