I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

shotacon, lolicon (basically child pornagraphry)
adventure (unless it's really good)
shonen
yuri
hentai
horror (there are some series that I like with horror as a side element, but if a manga's main intention is to scare people than no thanks.)

oh yeah, I absolutly detest any kind of harem manga. I try reading through it and the farthest that I can get is 5 pages before I go crazy.

Other than that, I read everything, mostly.

Psychological, thrillers, and horror, definitely. I get creeped out *really *easily (generally, too, but even more so) with the 'mood' a lot of those genres establish in manga plots.

Shota, loli, and ecchi are genres I don't read/like.
Only read mecha if it isn't the main genre (ie. CG, Bokurano)
Generally dislike shoujo school-life romances b/c it's so melodramatic and I can't get into the stories, unless it includes a lot of comedy (Host Club) or has really interesting characters (Mars).

Generally avoid: ecchi, harem/reverse harem, most shounen and most shoujo, the majority of yaoi (esp. those made for the female losers), yuri, smut and mecha.

Sometimes avoid: romance, action.

I don't avoid hentai but I don't regularly search for it either.

i really don't like ecchi. i don't know what i don't like about it, i think it's all the puny boys that always have a nosebleed when there's a hot girl.

I still don't have one, shoot.
