hate: yaoi/shounen-ai (disgusted by this), yuri/shoujo-ai, lolicon, shotacon, hentai, harem, smut, ecchi
don't like much: historical, mystery, fantasy, supernatural

BUT the ONLY ecchi manga i will read is Kyou no Asuka Show . asuka is so cute, pure and innocent.... also, she's HILARIOUS.

Some of the genres that i cant stand
Mecha-Just don't think giant robots are very interesting.

Supernatural-I enjoy a more realistic story and supernatural elements kind of just take me out of the story.

Harem-I can handle a love triangle but when every person is falling in love with one person i just dont care anymore and the whole romance kind of loses any meaning.

Shounen- I don't care that a normal kid can become the most powerful person ever and will always win and that the power of friendship conquers all.

I'll read anything and everything but it's rare for me to read:

Action (Just kill eachother already)
Adventure (Seriously how long does it take to get to a place?)
Harem (Don't think the guy is that hot)
Historical (Really?)
Lolicon (Ehh..)
Martial Arts (Same as Action)
Mecha (I'll watch Mecha anime but rare for me to read it)
Sci-fi (Don't think I've picked one up before)
Seinen (Can't remember reading one..)
Shoujo Ai (I prefer Shounen Ai)
Shounen (Gets kinda boring after awhile)
Sports (I don't even watch sports, what makes you think I'm going to read it?)
Yuri (Prefer Yaoi)

If I read any manga involving these I'm extremely picky.. O.O

Hmm, I figured I could still get away with it since many genres are defined pretty subjectively too. 😉

In any case, I was unable to categorize what sort of manga I dislike since I've read a variety of genres and have found outstanding examples in just about all categories.

well like above i'll read almost everything exept:
hentai
harem (not reverse)
yuri/shoujo-ai (ive tried... and failed 🤨 )
loli/shota (generally)
ecchi ( if its really bad and theres no plot affixed)
mecha ( i have yet to actually read one that i like 😀 ) edit: ohh wait does code Geass Count? even if i didnt read it but watched SOME of the anime?

shounen (once in a long while i get fiendishly tried of it and go check out some seinen)

I try to like/read a little of every genre, but I basically don't read Hentai, yuri/shoujo-ai (tho I have read some), loli/shota (I hate..), and anything tragic....

The obvious ones ;
Hentai , shotacon, lolicon, smut, yaoi, yuri, adult, doujinshi.

Not so obvious;
Ecchi , harem (or reverse harem).

I also dislike certain genre combinations;
Romance / shounen-ai / shoujo-ai when it is the main focus of the plot and not something on the side. Because I really don't believe that romantic love is an essential part of life.

Any romantic genre + slice-of-life / school-life / sports / mecha.

School-life + comedy (with no other genre involved) ...I don't know why, I just find this kind of story very dull.

Wow! And I was under the impression that I'm the only one who thinks like this! I also dislike stories in which romance is a main focus. 'Cause life isn't just about getting married, and no one can convince me to the contrary! 🤣

I don't like yaoi, yuri, loli, hentai, etc.

Yaoi, yuri, shounen-ai/shoujo-ai included. Shouta. I'll read about anything else.

Tragedy - I like to see a happy end.
Josei, Shoujo - I don't enjoy it.
Historical - I don't know why.
