Oh dear what was that ref. doing?! I think I know why he added a minute extra time, but I couldn't understand 2 minutes extra. It's like he wanted them to have a chance 🤣
I didn't like the refs this game anyway. Poor.
Looking forward to the Germany Spain match indeed. Spain have yet to show full potential. They'll have to play better than what they did against Paraguay if they want a chance of beating Germany though. They'll have to play much much better.

The Netherlands continue to play like true contenders. Uruguay did make it interesting in the end, though. Good tournament by Uruguay. Getting this far after a long string of early exits and failure to qualify is commendable. But back to the team deserving of the spotlight. The Netherlands have very quietly had one of the best tournaments of any team in the World Cup. They've won every game they played. Whoever their opponent is in the final will be facing a very hungry, and very good team.
Next up, Spain and Germany. Of course, I want Spain to win, but Germany winning won't be too bad either since I do like them. They way I see it, if Spain wins, we'll have a new nation to add to the list of World Cup champions. If Germany wins, we'll have a rematch of the 1974 World Cup, where Germany won 2-1. Let's see what happens.

Germany and Spain should be an interesting match unlike yesterday's one. a strong attacking team against and all round counter attacking team. I know Spain likes to keep the ball but if they fall asleep for a second it could cost them the game.

Absolutely. The Netherlands have been playing great football all tournament. They are ranked 4th in the World, which I know doesn't really mean anything, but it does show that they were winning their games. They continued winning in this World Cup, as they won every game they played, including against Brazil. The Netherlands should have been considered a contender from the get go, but they've been flying under the radar, which is just as well since they had to play without pressure from expectations.

So far this Germany-Spain match ain't exactly the action fest that was expected. But the best games are usually defensive games where you try to figure out who's gonna crack first, and that's what this game is shaping out to be.
