Not bad for a weak team. 🤣

Man, I expected Spain to have a hard time stringing their passes together against Germany. However, they dominated possession in this match just as well as they did in any other match they played. The first half was evenly matched. Neither team got many scoring opportunities, and Germany was only able to get off 1 or 2 shots. In the second half, Spain was dominating. They were getting multiple shots off, winning multiple corner kicks, and were maintaining possession. A goal seemed inevitable. Of course, Germany applied a lot of pressure after Spain scored a goal. But Spain's defense was lock down.

Now, Spain is one win away from taking home their first World Cup. However, the same can be said for the Netherlands. Both teams seem to be getting better as the tournament progresses. This should be a good match. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

P.S.: Man, Paul the Octopus is still perfect. Will he ever be wrong again? Of course, he might not live long enough for us to find out. 🤣

Today I learned that refs that are slow to draw cards can be just as irritating as those who are fast to. Two penalty shots could've been in for germany, but then again both situations werent really obvious, so the decisions were as right as they were wrong. It's just that such oportunities were badly needed. In any case Spain dominated and won deservedly as they will propably do again in their final match. Germany will most likely come in 3rd now. again.
