@areas6: yeah but that's just out of pure fun and nothing really religious. asian people do a celebration with everything they can find.

@mamsmilk: say what?

and back to topic, i personally doubt any life form exists. even if their were microbes, they would have evolved into something a bit more visual by now, aka multi-cellular organisms. i think any life-form on mars would come from earth

wow...I would think you would go to a place of Holiness with purity and convictions, but going there for amusement? I think someone's going to get smite for that....
If God is on Mars too....then you're in double trouble.

If the whole habitable Mars plans works out it'll hopefully be before the earth is ruined...(With global warming, bad genes, nuclear testing and spills probably very soon.)

Most likely but we're talking about the microbes that might be living there. Didn't they find asteroids with fossilize microbes in it a while ago?

If there are microbes, they're completely different than anything on Earth.

And here, the Buddhist Asian Americans all go to temples on Christmas to "worship" when it's convenient. Odd, very odd.

here what i would do to terra form mars.

  1. use about 1-3 ton of tnt to unfreeze the ice cap located at the polar regions then release bacteria that produce oxygen from C2O. after that introduce bigger things like mabe moss or lichen.

sigh man your school is lucky you get to do fun things. like i spent the past year with 3 others making this car that we had to program to do various simple actions. god it was fricing annoying. i should have just taken graphic arts. but anyways if my did have biochemistry i probably would have taken it cause im into info structure and machines.

@ scyfon, lol true that. but who knows, one could do with some suspense now and then. I'm prolly gonna party so much the night before that day that i'll either end up dying with the rest of the world or in jail.

@ xeronia: well, asians celebrate with everything. we get double, even triple the holidays compared with americans cause we celebrate west and east ones.

@ veltwolfsleer: that ain't enough tnt, buddy, not to melt that ice cube. and that's a sweet avatar

I think Mars is full of frozen water and carbon dioxide. If the CO2 is released into the atmosphere, that can produce a greenhouse effect to warm the surface. But I think I remember reading that Mars' atmosphere is fairly thin, and the planet's core is not pure iron (iron sulfide?), thus it only has a weak magnetic field. All the desireable atmospheric gases would be stripped away or escape into space with the solar wind. Earth has a good magnetic field and is able to retain a suitable atmosphere.
Also, Mars has no plate tectonic activity, which is pretty important here on Earth for recycling important elements.

Mars is not full of water. There are evidence of ice caps on the poles of the planet. Nitrogen is rich with iron. Microbes exists. If we melt the ice caps, then we can create life and environment on Mars.
