Annoying characters, cliches, fillers that have NOTHING to do with the story, when the manga drags oooonnnnn and ooonnnn, and random drama, and bad art (though only if it really bad, like amatuar and shit, otherwise it's ok)
that stuff turns me off so much. >:-(

I hate when the guy is like, four times the girls size. i mean at least have it somewhat in proportion, really. 🤢

I think you mean men in shoujo. Those guys can cup two breasts with one hand. 😐

Usually it will be the main female character.
If I don't like the main girl, I would most likely drop it/won't pick it up in the first place.
Or if the romance doesn't go the way I wanted it....

Ecchi. If you're going to get perverted at least take it all the way to Adult. If not, just avoid it preez.

When there are new characters just poping in just to keep the story going. I'd must rather they develop the old characters.

terrible character design, too much words lol, if the story prolongs longer than it should, disproportionate body figures (includes like humongous eyes that takes up 2/3 of the characters face)...

FAIRYTAIL CHAPTER 283
I hate "Strong Female Lead" most of the time, in the end i'm quite the sexist and the whole "tin as a twig strong as a bull" kind of bother me, even on males.
Most shojo Mangakas make their characters really slim yet strong and that just won't do with me, i do read shojo mangas the like of Sailor moon, girls with powers won't bother me as long as there is a reason, even is it quite stupid, like a magician giving them powers, half angel/demon, and the like.
Beside that i give almost any manga a try, most artist that suck at the beginning get better if the manga is long enough so i don't thing art is a good reason to don't give a manga the chance it deserve, also i like to see the world for the point of view of the mangaka, specially if he/she doesn't think like me.

Well.... 😐
I don't mind long stories where the progression is slow as long as there is some.
I don't mind bad art 'cause what i really care about is the story, but the art is the medium, and so bad art is likely to project a bad story.
I don't mind a cliche once in a while if the author is trying to renew something.
The only time i drop a manga is when it doesn't appeal to me anymore, i can't say why it happens, as stories with the same tags and catagories ought to be similar.
They just aren't.
Stories are different and i can't help but drop the stories that don't appeal to me...
It's got something to do with the feel i get when i read something. What causes this, and why i do not know 😕

Dont like the girls which are too cute and cry with the big eyes to convince other characters. Ngah. Hate that. Destroyed the Manga Legend of the sword for example.
The same goes for boys.
Sorry, if someone is pissed off to hear that. Maybe I'm an idiot?

Annoying Characters
Really hard to enjoy a manga when you can't stand a character, worse when its the main or part of the main cast and has lots of appearances.
Character types that I really hate are:
- typical useless male harem lead
- violent (tsundere?) females
- Preachy Love & Peace heroes who refuse to face reality
- characters that lack common sense, for some comedy its bearable but characters that regularly cause facepalm moments , it grates
Bad Art.
I can stand bad art to some degree but when it's too ugly or weird, it gets distracting.

I hardly ever drop reading a manga, but I will if:
-the art is weird or unappealing or just pain bad
-the story is lame, or I have heard it before
-and (just like others here) WAY too many words. It sucks to read so much, you should be able to say what you need to say without so many words.

Pussy mains. - I can't stand having to see some weak ass main character being supporrted by a whole crew yet he has super powers like in Hitman. The kid is a mafia boss yet he can barely throw a punch :/ also those chumps who have a whole harem but are always protected.
-
No character growth - I can't read a manga where the main does grow up fast or change for the better in the first 10chapters.
-
Rhetorical actions - I absolutely hate when mains make stupid moves that are so obvious. Like when a girl tries to flirt with a main or vice versa and they fail over and over and over never learning what must be done.
-
Mains that are not men - I mostly hate when a main gets a hawt alien chick or maid and he never freak under the sheets with her.... Just costant "omaigawd what is she doing snuggling next to me naked for.... This is every kids dream but yet I musnt cop a feel or bang her brains out ;_;"
So yeah...... I'm more into mature mangas where the main is a boss.... Like Blade of the Immortal or Devil Man stuff that real men read >. > 🙄
