does it gonna have to be something to do with killing the person you like most.
but then different way around. like dieing for the person you hate/love..

or his sharingan is just like any other and totally ordinary ??

We don't know yet. But we have to think that he's capable of MS, and that there's a second way to it, since Kakashi can somewhat pull it off too.

Right now with all the new details I'm leaning towards Tobi being Obito. And the reason he wears that silly outfit is because his body is deformed from being crushed under rock - that's my opinion.

well...pretty much almost everyone has come to that conclusion

It's true that I have been out for quite some time right now, and I just read all the chapters I missed yesterday. But I really can't see where you guys get such a strong belief that Obito is Tobi...
From what I read, Tobi, seems to actually be the real mastermind behind Akasuki, and the leader ("Pain" or "Pein", or whatever), is just a pawn. And he revealed himself to be Madara Uchiha, the same guy that the kyuubi mentioned to posses an incredibly "cursed" chakra.

Usually when people say that they have someone powers, the most logical explanation to that is that they are that someone. Of course, this is a fictional story, and there is around 33715 possible explanation to why he wouldn't be Madara Uchiha but just posses his power. But I'm one, that rather see things for their simplest explanation first, and then think deeper if I was wrong.
And about that tengu story... lol, I don't think it ever was mentioned in the manga, and seriously, a narutofan reference isn't what I call a good reference. But heh... who knows... Not me.

I'm not sure how it translates in Kanji or Hirigana, but was the anagram of T-O-B-I to O-B-I-T-O ever pointed out in this thread?

I'm leaning towards that this Tobi character acquired Uchiha Madara's power and isn't actually Uchiha Madara himself...unless he obtained some immortality type jutsu because I think Madara is really old while Tobi seems quite young.

And if you observe the way that Tobi acts with Deidara, that is exactly how I could see an adult Obito acting playfully.

Well, the reference connected many clues in many different pages of the manga together that I never noticed. That's the only reason that I was convinced. It translated the funny text in the Uchiha shrine, and it was mentioned before that the sharingan did come from the byakugan (sp?).

If Tobi did have Madara's power, then why didn't he just say, "I am Uchiha Madara! I am invincible!"?
