No Kisame (The Shark freak) doesn't know. He thinks Itachi and Sasuke are the only one left from Uchiha. The "Besides..." mark from Itachi imo doesn't refear to the storm being over. He Kinda just said that to change the subject (to set the readers in a wtf state... damn Khisi lol). He DO know that there are a third MS user. He said so to Sasuke in the big flashback. And that is NOT Kakashi 'cause Kakashi didn't have MS at that time, and Itachi figured out that he had evolved into MS when thay last faught. He was also suprised by it.

So Itachi knows there is another MS user. Kisame (and most of the Aka) doesn't. To me it's kinda obvious that Itachi knows that Tobi has the MS . If Kishi brings in yet another sharingan user it will be overkill. This far however, nothing is out of place...

ummm no lol...his statement is, "...and besides, the storm has passed." so its pretty obvious that he is referring to the rain. this can also be a reference to the comment kisame made about sasuke being dead. itachi realizes that sasuke wont die to anyone but him and that is why he saying the storm has passed (basically: sasuke is not in danger/dead)
also there would be no reason to say it just to throw someone off because from his perspective, hes only talking to kisame...his ally...no need to confuse...

also pls give chp for where he specifically states that there is another sharingan user, i dont remember that and it seems like its important and something to remember 🙂

chapter 225 p4. And I admitt it is fully acceptable to interpret it this way too. But my point was that Itachi def knows there is a 2nd MS user. And it's not Kakashi he is refearing to.

What if tobi is one of those random a$$ rock ninjas they fought when tobi died. They went and took his left eye, thus explaining only (apparently) tobi's left eye has a sharingan.......that's make for a bland ending tho

concerning chp225: i think itachi was referring to uchiha madara, the first one to discover the mangekyo sharingan, when he said that there were 3 people capable of it. not that he was saying a third person (tobi) existed.

however, it is possible that he knew of someone else who had the same capabilities when he says this but i think it very unlikely. this is itachi from the past that is talking so he wouldnt have met tobi yet, of course this does not eliminate the possibility of him knowing of someone else and not knowing its tobi which kinda sorta fits...

also we dont know what exactly was written in the uchiha clan temple/hole thingy...

It's written, but scanlators didn't bother to translate it. The guy who did the post at the narutofan forums translated it. I think that it said "Tengu" which is a type of flying demon, explaining Sasuke's wings when he went to level two curse.

This was also after Kakashi got the sharingan. Maybe he was talking about Kakashi and thought that Kakashi would get the MS.

pretty sure that post you are talking about is just one persons (long and detailed) hypothesis...the only thing it says in the manga is that it details what the uchiha clan's sharingan was orginally used for.

Itachi ment there was another beside himself that had the MS on that time. If Sasuke opened his eyes to the "truth", there would be 3 people (including Itachi) who had the MS. The third person is obviously Tobi, at least not Kakashi. I'm 1000% sure of it! There is no other truth! Why? Itachi was suprised when he found out, and kinda dumbfounded. So basicly, if Sasuke gets MS there will be 4 known MS users, independable whether Tobi has it or not. Bringing another MS user (even a sharingan user) would be overkill imo thats why I'm sure (90%) Tobi has it.

In chapter 142 p7 we see Sasuke in the temple as well. I'm not certain Tengu is mentioned there, but the images on the wall symbolize a merge between Tengu and Hyuuga clan, and the creature wears a Tengu Geta (a type of sandal).

In Ch.181, p4 we see Tengu written in one of the Scrolls on the wall inside Sasuke's room. In fact "Tengu Uchi".

Tengu comes from ancient china and was a kind of a bird thing. Adopted to Japan it became two main demons, Konoha Tengu and karasu (crow) Tengu. Birdy features in other words. Sasuke is often displayed with some of the Tengu's features. Playing a winf flute while holding an endles bottle of Sake (ch 15 cover). Vielding the Tsengu's Fan (Volume 7 cover). Chapter 3 is named "Uchiha Sasuke" and on the cover we see a crow with the Konoha forehead protector. And Kakashi, who has the MS, name means scare crow.

All this could be coincidence of course. 😎 Phew I really wrote all this.. jeez...

Edit: oh and we don't know what the "true" purpose of the Sharingan is. We only know it is important in one way or another.

abt the itachi mentioning tt there is a 3rd user...cldnt he be refering to tobi since he joined akatsuki later mayb due to wanting to know more abt tobi and his powers...

Exactly, those who died.

We can't be sure that he died. He might have just passed out. He said that his body was "almost crushed" which means that he might have just been stuck underneath. We never see a funeral and he is not buried anywhere. Therefore we cannot know for sure that he is really dead.
