I'm looking for stories where the main lead(s) have experienced a love that they have difficulty forgetting before they meet each other (and possibly also when they've started their relationship). I know this is quite a commonplace among shoujo manga, so I'm just looking for manga where it's quite a significant centre-point of the plot... or for shounen/seinen where this happens.

e.g. Shinobi Life, Spicy Pink Omae ga Sekai wo Kowashitai nara, Bride of the Water God, Inuyasha, Chrno Crusade, etc...

Thanks in advance :3

They'd climb a mountain, find a tree, carve a hole in it, whisper the secret into the hole and cover it up with mud. That way, nobody else would ever learn the secret...
