And To answer your last little question. I just guess that he/she has been reading to much shoujo. Shonen/Seinen tend to give girls a less weak and "come save me my prince" roles. But a lot of them in the end still will require being saved by the main male character in someplace. After all it's aimed at men... and,deep down, we all kinda dream of acting cool in front of the girl we like right?

Not me. I would prefer to be a "Rock" type character from Black Lagoon. I can kick back and have a hot girl like Revy do all the fighting and then I get to hook up with her later anyways. Yeah, I'm lazy.

man rock did have it nice though didn't he, only guy that revy allows to go near her, not to mention she can beat any who challenge her. Not a bad gig he had going on.

If you look at it the other way around then it's very easy to find a shounen manga where the girl is being saved etc. all the time but still kicks the male protagonists ass easily 😀
