Hmmm, I don't think the female exorcist, or any exorcist in D.Grayman can be mentally weak/give up. They'd just fall from grace and the innocence would probably kill them.

Another one for Claymore, ummm also Miu from History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Blood, Hellsing, Haruhi Suzumiya, but i guess thats more light novel. But still, Haruhi is the best!!

Triela from Gunslinger Girl instantly comes to mind. While, most of those girls are very dangerous, she stands out as the most competent with the least conditioning. Alita/Gally from Battle Angel Alita/Gunnm is perhaps one of the top female warriors in all manga.

There's alotta kick butt girls in Bleach!
There's Soi Fon, Yoruichi, even Rukia, and some other ones too! (but Orihime tries to be tough, when she's actually a baby lol) And there's Nell! She's awesome! But she only comes in the later chapters, so if yew're just starting to read this now, it might take a while to get there :3

Oooo. I think Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail kicks butt 😀 She's probably the reason why I'm following the series especially since it's a "mage" manga. Don't really like mages lol.

There is Ran from Gals! but it is shoujo and it sounds like you want shounen. Rahzel from Hatenkou Yuugi is my favorite and although the manga is shoujo, it also has action. Sheila from Superior is also one of my favorite.
