What are your favorite and least favorite arcs from manga and anime that you like? You can post as many as you want, and please describe why you like the arc(s) so much.

The ones I can think of for now are all from One Piece. The Enies Lobby arc was CRAZY. It had everything that you need to make an awesome story (comedy, action, drama, suspense, etc.). And it was the first exposure I had of the One Piece manga (I found out about One Piece through 4Kids' bastardized version of the anime). The other arc I liked was the Alabasta arc. I thought that it was real good at portraying a civil war and it showed how people can be so easily swayed these days.

The arcs I didn't like were the Drum Island arc and the Thriller Bark arc. I don't have a definite answer, but those two were just boring to me. It was like Oda could've done better with those, but he couldn't really find a way to do it.

anyhu.. the best arcs in an anime/manga..
ofcourse it would mention arcs from Claymore, Onepiece,Vampire Knight and Gantz!

@One piece = Undoubtedly the Enies Lobby arc and the current Impel Down arc.
@Claymore = the Fight in the North arc. EPIC..very EPIC.
@Gantz = the Dinasour alien, the Onii + Vampire aliens arc!
@Vampire knight = Chapter 35..the turning point of everything.

My hands were shivering with EXCITEMENT when reading these arcs!!

As for the WORST manga/anime arcs...

I would vote for the Chimera Bug arc in Hunter x Hunter, the Osaka arc in Gantz and the Freeza Saga in Dragonball...

Oh yea. The Greed Island arc is the Best arc in Hunter x Hunter!!

Mirai Nikki The Tempel arc
One Piece Along Park and worst was Enis Lobby sorry but i hate the Enis Lobby arc
Gantz the Osaka arc and the Vampire arc
Negima the Magic Worl arc

Anime
Zero no Tsukaima Season one and two but i think two was a little better
Elfen Lied The Story from the Anime a little different from the manga and better

maybe I shud reread it again, that manga has been in my on hold list for so long.

Is it getting better? or are they still handling/solving individual cases in every chappie?

favorite manga arcs:
Berserk - Golden Age ark
Battle Angel Alita Last Order - the long flashback about Caerula's past

Claymore - the northern war arc.
Bleach - the Soul Society rescue arc.
Kurohime - the shinigami lord arc.
Gantz - the Oni-Alien arc.
Shin Angyo Onshi - the final battle.

my least favorite:
Gantz - the Osaka arc.
Tenjou Tenge - the feudal Japan arc (or really most of the later arcs).
Claymore - the Holy City Rabona arc was a little boring I guess (but only in comparison to the rest of Claymore).

I find both of them boring too..
The first Rabona arc is kinda lame since Clare was sooo weak..and it was not even an awakened being.

The second one bored the hell out of me probably b'coz of Clarice and Miata...Clarice is getting on my nerves probably cuz she's weak and indecisive..

The first one, definitely. I liked the second one actually. I like Clarice, personally; her weakness makes her stand out next to all the other stronger Claymores.

My favorite arc was the Buddist temple one in Gantz my least was the random vampire arc in Gantz.

To tell you the truth, I actually liked the 4Kids version when it first came out (I was a dumbass at the time 🤣 ) and I used to watch it every week it came out. But because of 4Kids messing up such an epic story like that, most people who didn't know how to get the english subbed anime or the weekly chapter scanlations thought that One Piece was only for kids. The manga here in America is STILL on Alabasta and the next volume of One Piece that's coming out here is Volume 20 in February.

Hermit-chan, my dear nakama...this is where I have to disagree with you. 😔

I personally thought that the Freeza arc was the best arc in all of Dragonball and Dragonball Z. The reasons for me is because the Super Saiyan change by Goku was SO unexpected, and it was supposed to be the final arc of the manga, so it felt even more epic. But of course, Shuiesha had to be all "OM NOM NOM NOM NOM, WE WANT MOAR MONEYZ NAO", and forced Toriyama to make two extra sagas that weren't as good IMO.

The origins of the word epic lol.
Least: The 1st (though it was epic too)

Vinland Saga
Fav: The current one
Least: The 1st (See above)

Death Note
Fav: uh... all of it..? (You can split in 2 major arcs though).

Naruto
Fav: The previous one, the current one and the Chuunin exam arc.
Least: The "Retrieve Sasuke" arc. Not really bad though

R Kenshin
Fav: The Kyoto arc.
Least: The last one.

Dragon Ball
Fav: Red Ribbon and Piccolo arc
Least: Cell and Majin Boo. Should have ended with Freeza arc (Though that would mean no epic Trunks 😐 ).

One Piece
Fav: The 1st
Least: Everything else

Bleach
Fav: SS
Least: Everything after

BLAME!
Fav: Any.
Least: none.

Gantz
Fav: Vampire arc
Least: Osaka arc
