Hey does anyone know any mangas that deviate from normal manga genres or formulas? I'd like it kinda romancey. I don't mind if it is part of a genre but if it is I'd say something like "the only reason it's part of this genre is because the publisher forced the mangaka to give it a genre." I've seen some nuts ones like Mysterious Girlfriend X and Paradise Kiss (tho paradise kiss might follow a formula, but havent read any josei like it b4).

Would My Balls fall under a category? I thought it was pretty original =3

i like Mirai Nikki. if you try it out, u will probably like it too... the girl is insane, in a cute way, superest stalker ever, and everything kinda comes up as a surprise in the manga... you never see the next scene coming usually. you cannot tell who to trust or who to hate. just wanted to say that i enjoyed this, and it may be what u are looking for...

Alright well, if you are prepared for the most horrible depressing read of your life Saikano is the thing for you. Personally I can't stress how much I hate depressing things, but even I have to recognize how good this manga is, powerful romance story with releastic characters (put in an unreleastic situation mind you, but who the hell cares)

heh... only other person ive ever seen who even knows what mirai nikki is... i think it is a highly underrated, underestimated, underread manga that deserves much more attention than it is getting...
