and my question would be..who wouldn't? its human nature to be scared of the unknown and since one has come back from the death and reveal the mystery behiend it, I would say everyone who's consious would be a scare.
As for me...I would say that yes, I would be scared of dying without having done anything just yet..dying when my life its just begining but everything that begings also has an end.

I once thought I was going to die because of too litte oxygen in the air, but just passed out. But because it was the first time for me to pass out I was thinking I was going to die, and panicked and shouted HELP! The last thought I had before passing out was: Damn it! I would have wanted to finish that book! 🤣 If I think about dying, I think I'm not so scared about it. I think it depends on how near you are your time of death. If I start thinking about all the people I care about and being alone, that scares me more.

I guess I can say yes.
To me, after my death, it's either I retain my consciousness and something yada yada happens or I lose existence.
Although it sounds childish, I want to live because I want to have fun, and continuing or restarting my life after death may give me a new perspective, a new world even to start new things. What I'm scared of is the fact that there is a chance of that not happening and I will become nothing which I don't want. 😐

Live or Die. It makes no difference. Death is my only way to absolute freedom

quite nihilist, interesting.
My point is, it´s imposible to determine what happens when you die before it happens, so maybe death means simply end of an individual existence, so there is nothing beyond death, maybe death means trascendence from our material mix of mind and body and so we would not be limited anymore by physics laws, maybe it´s simply a temporal journey before our souls are reincarnated, so it depends on your beliefs. Of course, just believing doesn´t guarantee you that your beliefs will become real.
As Kant said, we can only know about phaenomenons, anything that goes beyond that (methaphysical stuff) is uncertain.

I don't think you can tell a really truthful answer to that like this...well maybe some people can but not me...i was never ever close to dying( oh well one or two car tried to run over me but that's all....) i wrote a bunch of stupidity, right now i'm afraid like hell from dying or to die without accomplishing anything and just disappear. I wanna be a great artist and I want to see the end of Naruto. So dying is not acceptable until then . 😀 🤣 😛 😳 🙂

When I was like, younger, I didn't really want to die. Yes, I was afraid of dying. But if I think about it, what's so scary about dying?... But if I die, I want to die at a... Not harmfull way, you know? I mean, I don't want to get stabbed at my back and just die from the pain you know.
I don't see death as a way to freedom, death is just the last path of cowardness you can take. 😔

You know, how will we really know unless death is imminent upon us? Like in the novel Shogun, the main character resisted death through many occasions until death was in his face. And then, he decided that he did not fear it.
Ever think of the cultural implications? Like will a fierce warrior fear death? What about the people at home, etc...

Different people think of death in different ways. Think of the Egyptians and the Norse.
I go away and suddenly the spammers are the mods. Okay, I can adjust to that, but... Gorath?! And what's up with Mam's not being the top poster?

yeah, it does indeed have to something to do with beliefs and in this point culture is important.
Nowadays it´s related to religous beliefs (in cristianism, if you are not a good man you will be punished in afterlife, so the perspective of death becomes fearsome, since it has been decided that very few will reach salvation), but not exclusively limited to that (cultural and philosophical beliefs are some of the alternatives). Well, that is just what i think 😀

Im sort of in between. I am certainly not afraid of death itself, though I must say it would be cool to be able to live forever (with eternal youth).
Mostly though I just dont want to die before I leave my mark on the world. After thats done I could easily die with no regrets.
