Maybe (although it is goofy) Hajimete no Aku. It's quite funny and the villian is an 'evil scientist', I recomend checking it out.

SPOILER ALERT (obviously
Hana yori dango - Violent rich bully falls in love with poor girl.
Totally captivated - Loan shark falls for poor student.
Akuma no Ororon - Demon falls for girl.
Let Dai - Bully falls for honors student (erm kinda open for interpretation tbh on the exact nature of their realtionship)
Inuyasha - Violent, rude (but not really a bad guy) half demon, Inuyasha, gradually softens (to an extent) when he meets a high school girl from the future. This one is long, so drags a little, but the romance is a side story to the main fantasy plot. It's a fun read if you have time to kill and like the typical shounen.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.
