Opposites attracts kinda

I'm looking for a more specific opposites attract kind of manga. Those I've read with that category seems to be those rival kind of characters that bickers with each other every time they spot one another's shadow and I don't want those types.
They are opposite that you don't see them being together but they don't necessarily hate each other. Well after years, I decided to rewatch Avatar again. Though I wasn't exactly rooting for them, I was kind of interested if there's a romance manga that has the characters like Zoku(the fire prince) and Katara (water) as a couple.
– I don't really mind if it's shounen, Seinen, shoujo as long as there's romance.
– I also don't like the wimpy male lead coz I've probably read those kind
– No hentai.... As much as possible I don't want it to be Borderline H but I'm not entirely closing the possibility.
Oh and also I would want if they at least have one similarity like they're both have troubled past or something but this is just optional.
Thank you

Maybe Chang Ge Xing? It's not really a romance, more of an military strategy/adventure type manga. It has the sort of [enemies (politically) ->friends-> in love] type relationship that you might be looking for. And the male lead is hated but tolerated by his (adopted) father and brother. (And the heroine's uncle wants to kill her).
If you're okay with shounen ai, you might like La Esperança, which has an antagonistic relationship that turns into a romance. It doesn't have much in the way of bickering, it's kind of more that they are uncomfortable with each other and express it as anger. And they really do seem like complete opposites. And I think they both had troubled pasts (I remember at least one of them did). It is a well written story but the art is terrible.
I would have recommended Reimei no Arcana, but you've already read that one. Let me know if I've understood your request correctly (I can try to recommend others if I've gotten it wrong.)
maybe something like Kimi ni Todoke or Horimiya (not sure if they really fit with the oposites, but i feel they do)
also theres Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki if its just physically opposite (height)
stupid photobucket, wanting $400/yr just to display your images

Chang Ge Xing was only close to the opposites I'm looking for but I tried reading it and it's pretty good. I'll try La Esperanca too ^^ Thank you for the suggestions
