I should probably be more descriptive...The time period was current and the boy was a high-schooler or middle-schooler...but now I know what movie I'm watching during Winter Break ^^

Have you ever read Ushio to Tora? I don't know if fits one of your requests, but I came across this one just now and "the monster" looks a bit "tiger" to me (Tora...).

It may be easier to the Advanced Search by Genre Page, with the Categories (Tags) Cloud open in another tab.(Copy and paste tags to the search page) To try to find the rest.

To dalek I think it's great that you're trying to help someone find something they are looking for. IMO there's nothing for you to be sorry for.
