Boy doesn't get girl

In crossroad, he does get her in the end -.-
But "the other he" doesn't.
Following that reasoning in 99% of shoujo there's a guy who doesn't get the girl...

I've only seen it in raw format but, the whole reason for Oe Kintaro of Golden Boy, traveling all of Japan was because he didn't get the girl all those years before. Atleast that's what I could gather from the pictures. I could be totally wrong, but I don't think I am.

you're right. but still i think the main female characters in Candy Life, Crossroad and Zettai Kareshi should have ended up with the other guys.

he doesn't actually get any girl, because he always leaves in improper moments. but at the end all the girls are searching for him (if i remember correctly).

Well, in that case the title of this topic should have been "The right boy doesn't get the girl", but I think this is a different topic.

sorry, i thought blizzardwolf3 would be interested anyway.
the title of the topic isn't "none of the boys gets the girl" either.

i hav nothing to submit here but a very good point...if u know that the boy doesn't get the girl in the end...doesn't that ruin the manga completly?

Well Mx0 but
the manga ended abruptly, almost "in medias res" so I dunno if counts
ya im gonna be a smartass rite now so... in medias res is when the story starts at the middle or end of the story and reveals the past through flashbacks (or not at all). so yeah, look at Berserk if u want an example.
umm... cant think of any manga where the characters break up at the end, soo... oh maybe the bad endings in most visual novels

Koukou's Debut is about a girl who is a tomboy, she play's baseball (not a sports manga, thank god). She is entering high school and wants to be more girly, so she can get a boyfriend. But she reads megazines and try to learn from that, but that doesn't always work out for most girls. Nothing looks good on her because she has muslces and she's tall. So she get's this guy to help her. It was kinda hard at first but she got her look together. Now it was time for them to find her a boyfriend. I don't think it is a spoiler but after a while they began dating but things go crazy because he doesn't get what's going through her head because she is so weird at times. the story keeps going on about there relationship and everything they go through is really funny. try it you might like it.

dont you think your ruining the manga for yourself i mean you are going to see the boy try and get the girl through all the manga but youll already know how it will end he will not succeed

OOOHH... i got perfect one for you !!!!!
frames of chapters (as in frames of ONESHOTS)...
meaning there is like a bunch of endings......
if you dont mind reading mature rated mangas...
its just about a guy who has personal sex crushes on the girl, and they eventually end up doing it... but most of them always end up just breaking up.... theyre just basically sex friends..... and always has a depressing storyline for every one of them....
though im not a big fan of it, i still read it, cause its sexy 😀
these were all the ones that are my personal favorites...
though their not nessaserily a romance manga
nyuu/lucy dies at the end
supposely the girl the guy kinda loves, is responsible for murdering his parents, cause shes some kind of a demon queen that falls in love with a human guy, due to his character and charms... and the story has yet to end, but it doesnt seem like a pretty sight for them if they were to find out :( ...
i lost respect for luffy, when he never showed a sign of interest towards boa hancock, the most beautiful character of the one piece world >:-( ... hes obviously not straight, cause all the peeps hes trying to save are all guys.... X_X

You can say what you want, but a certain incident with mermaids points in a different direction.
