Funny that the heroine in Absolute Boyfriend is similar to those indecisive and stupid loser guys in an male oriented manga. And the robot guy is a bit like one of those fan-service girls who pursue the guy. It's just that their genders are reversed. That sounds good but Watase did it poorly and filled it with her cliches. It's not that it's about sex. It's that this story is extremely boring and annoying. It actually made me dislike shoujo more. It also proves one thing: stupid losers and the idiotic plots they appear in are BAD, no matter they male or female, shoujo or shounen/seinen.

I also gotta agree with Hot Gimmick. Like most manga I read, I was interested in where it was going at first, but it just became too... annoying =__='' ... But I still managed to finish the series. I had already gotten pretty far and it seemed like a waste to not finish. xD'

All the shoujo that I like seems to have been mentioned on this thread. Which is understandable, since I realize that they all have flaws, it's just that I manage to enjoy the manga in spite of them.

At any rate, I just don't like anything by Shinjo Mayu, and stuff like Hot Gimmick and Desire Climax. I don't want to read a manga where the heroine is raped or almost raped, and then she falls in love with the rapist, who keeps on (almost) raping her...

Popular manga I dislike:

Special A - Tell me about dense... how is the main character even clever!? And what's more, I skip the first Chapter and read the last Chapter... and guess what!? I understood what happened!

Haou Airen - Gross... The characters are just... stupid! I'm glad the 'ending' ended that way...

Gakuen Alice - I can't believe that I actually liked it before... Now I know hoe freakin' over-rated this is... =_=

Shugo Chara! - Childish, annoying... the fans themselves got me put off by this manga with all the Ikuto Vs that blond guy 'wars'.

Hana to Akuma - Childish, predictable... not even likeable characters... The main girl pisses me off!

I Accept You - Got bored after one chapter...

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! - Rubbish... seems like a 'Special A-Wannabe'

Honey Hunt - I don't think it's popular, anyhow... it's just pathetic.

Also Shuukatsu!! - Kimi ni Naitei. It's liked by many. I don't see the appeal of such characterization of a couple and got bored after reading just a bit.

Finally, someone's said it. The MU rating for this manga is utterly baffling to me. It's sweet, but mediocre to the core, and the relationship has a condescending aspect that makes me uncomfortable.

For me, I found Private Prince to be completely unreadable. In the first chapter, the male love interest shows every intention of trying to assault the protagonist and, seemingly the next day, she walks off and eats lunch with him. For me, I can’t forgive a guy who would try something like that (even if it was only a joke and he didn't intend to go through with it). Moreoever, the fact that the female lead doesn’t seem to think this kind of behavior is a problem AT ALL really pissed me off.

That was the only one by this author I tried (and got bored and dropped after reading just a bit). The prince suddenly molested her for no reason. I was like 😕 The characters are extremely unbelievable. Well, I guess most smut is like that and people read it for smut and don't care about characters and plot. To me, it's not even smutty but with only some implied molestation and sex scenes. Well, even those are worth reading to some, I guess. 😮

The same reason why people like Twilight, i guess. To me, they seem very very alike. But then again, I don't understand why people like Twilight anyway.

vampire knight- I didn't saw anything here, the situations and characters were rly cliche, only the art work was truly beautiful.I don't know why it's so popular....Maybe 'cause of the vampire mania?

Shugo Chara!
OMFG!I just hate it!The art work is rly childish and everything in this manga it's sooo obvious.

Hot Gimmick-I was rly disappointed with this one,the main character is just so annoying,I started and didn't finished, but I intend to;because I have this thing when I start read something I have to finish.
