Kaichou wa Maid-sama HATE IT!!! The heroine is "descibed as strong"... WHATEVER! The hero is just as bad or even worse for falling for a girl like that.
Thank you for letting me vent my hatred towards this series.

Anything by Shinju Mayu:
Smut is ok, as long as its in small doses at proper times. She tends to have some sort of smut in every chapter - almost.
All of her characters look the same.
She does a cross over between Love Celeb, Haou Airen, and Sensual Phrase! Argh! Isn't Hakuron suppose to be dead!!!! She must have forgot.
When one female character is trying to ruin another, She is almost raped by a gang. Or is raped by another person.
She has yet to create a serious manga. Everything she has done is junk and give a person a serious case of brain rot.

Actually, most popular shoujo series that I've read have been pretty good or at least enjoyable imo. They're popular for a reason, after all.
Except for Fruits Basket. I didn't like the art and I absolutely hated every character, especially Tohru "Power Of Virginal Love" Honda.

I didn't really get the hype over Fruits Basket. I tried to finish the anime because it was so popular at that time, but didn't finish the manga because I find it boring and dragging.
Another is Hot Gimmick, which is a complete waste of time, even for just reading a few chapters. They are all so annoying, frustrating and ugly.
Lovely Complex started out good for me, but it lost it's charm after 5 vol. I got bored with it.
Smut mangas by Shinju Mayu and Minami Kanan.

Quote from base_coat
I've found a not-your-average smut - Kedamono Damono.
Strange and a bit confusing. Am I reading ecchi or yuri? Not sure whether you think it's good? 😉
Funny story: Kedamono Damono was published in Nakayosi. You know, the magazine that ran CardCaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon.
I hate Fruits Basket.

Koukou Debut and Special A pretty much sucked the most...
I also hate:
Shugo Chara
Gakuen Alice
Kitchen Princess
Vampire Knight
Hana to Akuma
May the Chocolates of Heaven be on your side.

Skip Beat
Why?: They are sooo not bishonen at all... they look like old men...
Ouran Host Club
Why?: Too many yaoi references... Not a big fan. Also, it's not as funny as they make it out to be. cough cough huge harem
Vampire Knight
Why?: Honestly... Leaving Zero to go to Kaname... Ugh...

Zettai Kareshi
Nana
I only read these two manga because they were running in Shojo Beat magazine, and once their magazine run ended, I stopped reading them altogether, with no plans to pick them back up like Kaze Hikaru.
Hot Gimmick
This series just wasn't my cup of tea. I mainly read it because I saw some of my friends reading it, which is something I'll be doing less of now. 🤢

I really dislike Nana. Never particularly liked Ai Yazawa's art but this one is so depressing that it became unbearable to read at some point. The relationships are just too twisted and unhealthy, there's too much melodrama.
Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu and Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru by Aoki Kotomi: pathetic characters, unrealistic plots and bad art. Things that thankfully have become a little better with the latest work.
Cat Street I loved Hanayori but I couldn't bring myself to finish this, I didn't like the heroine and the way she handled her relationships.
Maju Shinjo's latest smutty works: at least Kaikan phrase had a decent plot in the first volumes(although the art was not that good), but the others are just embarrassing and mysogine.
Renai Shijou Shugi that was the most exaggerated and nonsense smutty shoujo in the history of shoujo, I found it even worse than Haou airen, because the sex/rape is very graphic and the heroine looks braindead all through the story
she was raped/almost raped by 2 guys but she's still their friend afterwards like nothing happened, that's just insulting for women
Then there are many good shoujos that started nicely but have bad ends or became boring halfway, like Kare Kano

-Vampire Knight:
I dont like Yuki. And if I dont like the main character the series becomes ruined for me. She's too indecisive. She's like Momo from Peach Girl but possibly worst. She doesnt have a Sae on her back and she's defended by her two knights. I dont feel pity for her. She annoys me. Next Zero, lately he is becoming likeable to me. But before he really wasnt. I just dont like gloomy characters and he definitely fit that with all his pained expressions and hating on Vampires. It was like racism or something. Dont bother telling me he had a sad past. I hear that as an excuse all the time when a character acts like and asshole and its getting very old. Kaname I liked at first. But seeing him act all masochistic just ruined it. Oh yeah. Totally let the girl just walk all over you. She is your life. At least Zero seems like he can live without her and doesnt seem clingy. Kaname ruined his coolness in that chapter. I dont like desperate guys.
-Nana:
Once upon a time I liked this series. I like the characters, the style, the whole close group of friends feeling. Now? It all went to soap opera hell. Cheating, lying, character deaths, Takumi. I'm sick of it tbh. And dont think I'm a rabid Hachi/Nobu fan. I dont care who she is with as long as its not Takumi. I just dont like him and his arrogance. His hotness does nothing for me. I dont even find him hot. He needs a damn hair cut. I even find that baldy with sun glasses hotter than him. I went and read Ai Yazawa''s older work Gokinjo Monogatari and I prefer it. It has the same group of friends feel, lots of likeable characters, good humor, some drama, but it doesnt feel like a trainwreck soap opera with no good ending in site. I recommend for anyone who liked Nana at first but didnt like the change later on in the series.
-Anything by Shinjo Mayu where the heroine is raped and just takes it and does nothing to save herself. When will I see a heroine kick her rapist in the balls rather than blush and run? Never. Cause its not kawaii enough. >^_~<....
There we go. >:-(

It's a hassle to list 'em down and if even the thought of it pisses me off, imagine if i'm to list down the freakin' list of shojos that i hate. Arghh... now i'm filled with the urged to tear up my pillow...again(woosaaa...woosaa... - practicing breathing technique to calm down). 😮
Okay, now whare was i, oh yeah shojos that pisses me off, firstly i hate shojos manga whereby the heroine can be push around like some kinda chequerboard piece. This type of character often reared it butt ugly head in smut manga. I'm no feminist or anything but i just can't accept that kinda behavior even in manga(crack!!! oops.. there goes my new pencil). >:-(
I also hate shojos manga whereby the character was too nice for their own good, like forgiving someone after that said someone has caused physical and mental pain. I'm all for "An eye for an eye" kinda guy, hell yeah!! long live Code Breaker 😎
Then there's the shojos with indecisive character. Now this type usually strived in a reverse harem environment, feeding on the hopelessness of the male population in that said manga. Man i'm tired, all this pissing off is burning me energy faster than it take Usain Bolt to completes his 100m 🤢
You like the things that i HATE, and i HATE the things that you like
