Exactly that. I was wondering if there was a romance manga that was similar to the romance in the popular stephanie meyers twilight series. I've never read the books, just saw the movies. This is more for my best friend's little sister. Anyways, I am aware of this. But is there anything else? (I don't want the exact twilight story)

I wasn't even aware that existed until now.
Gave me a few laughs XP
But um...Twilight style romance? I've read the books, didn't much like them though...I'll give it a thought. Maybe try Vampire Knight? Haven't read it, and from what I've heard the plot's quite different, though I have heard some people say similar things about it as have been said about Twilight...good and bad

A Thousand Years of Snow. It's almost more comedy than romance, but there is some aspect of romance to it.
Edit: Not manga, but the Night World book series by L. Jane Smith (or L. J. Smith) is being re-released currently in Omnibus format (3 books in 1) because of the popularity of Twilight. The final book in the series, Strange Fate, is presently due to be out in late 2010. It's somewhat similar to Twilight, usually found in the Young Adults section.

Bloody Kiss - It's cute.
Blood Alone - Ah, this one is a yes. You'll regret it if you don't read it.
Trinity Blood - @_@ Awesoomee...But, this one has more action, blood, and the Vatican involved. The romance part is nicely blended that sometimes you have to look really hard for it. Not really Twilight-ish.
Hellsing - Uh...Totally nothing like Twilight, but it's awesome either way. Sorry, but just had to put it in >3>

Just about every Romance Shoujo I've read is little Twilight in some way or another. I suggest looking at a few of them and reading the decriptions to see what you like the best.... here is a short list of some that you might enjoy if enjoy Twilight:
Desire Climax
Karin
Kindan no Koi wo Shiyou along with the sequels; Zoku - Kindan no Koi wo Shiyou and Kindan no Koi de Ikou
Private Prince
Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori
Soryanaize Darling
It's just a shiort list, but there are a whole lot more that fit closer.

Heh, total understatement. I enjoyed the anime (action horror), but it's NOTHING like Twilight. =)

These are great. I'm really interested in a Thousand Years of Snow. Thanks ya'll.
BTW, they don't have to have vampires in them. Just sayin.

Immortal Rain in terms of romance
and a hot 624-year-old immortal man. 😀
*Edit: I also liked Ten no Ryuu Chi no Sakura.

I second Immortal Rain.
Well, since you mentioned they didn't have vampires, I suggest Hanatsukihime
