Yeah, so I was reading Private Prince (Asato Eiri) recently, and was bemoaning the fact that it hasn't been updated in like 3 years. O_O; Are there any other excellent yaoi series that have been abandoned/dropped permanently, or put on hiatus for at least 6 months?

I want to know this NOT because I'm a masochist who only wants to read abandoned stuff, lol, but I figured I might offer my help to those groups, just to help get more of these stories out there. I can't translate a word of Japanese, but I can do editing... So I guess I just want a couple of different "abandoned" series to choose from? At least I can start small and help out with one project to start with - or if the old groups no longer exist, then maybe find new people to help with the projects instead.

No pressure on anyone replying to this thread, haha. Right now I'm just looking for suggestions of which titles you would most like to see resumed.

what about Silence? I am really wondering what happened with that one, even if I don't like it that much.
and Demian Syndrome? I really want to know what happens here! it seems such an interesting story!
and Konoyo Ibun? Although I don't know how much chapters are left.

The Tyrant Falls In Love
Granted, it's "supposedly" licensed. Bah, DQ.

Boku no Yasashii Oniisan (I'd really love to see this one continued. 😛 )
Kare no Niwa ni Saku Hana
Kimi ga Iru Basho
Love Life

Also, many of Beautiful Soup's projects:
B Grade Gourmet Club
Crazy for You (ARAYA Miki)
Koko ni Kiss Shite
etc.

EDIT: Wait, did Beautiful Soup come back to life after so many years? 😲 Apparently, they did. Hey tartufo, Private Prince is now one of their active projects. And you can disregard what I said about their abandoned mangas.

Not yaoi but a shounen-ai that really should be resumed is Midnight Sun.

@queen2408: Konoyo Ibun has been licensed, yey! 😀 So you can get the actual volumes as they come out in English... But you're right about Demian Syndrome and Silence - they're both practically abandoned and could use continuations. 🙂

@base_coat: Yeah, I love Midnight Sun! Such a pity it's been abandoned.

@Odette: O_O that's a lot of really good abandoned manga! It would be SO GREAT if Beautiful Soup has come back to life! They have great projects and I'd love to help them. I'll have a look at their site now... Just the thought of them coming back is thrilling. YEY MORE PRIVATE PRINCE! I'll give them my organs for that. (Not to mention my manual labor... lol.)

I also really love Boku no Yasashii Oniisan and Kimi ga Iru Basho - thank you for reminding me! I'd totally forgotten about them since I'd only read their first chapters, and so long ago too... Looks like Aarinfantasy will get a volunteer email from me as well. <3

Thank you everyone & pls. tell me of more such series.

EDIT: I just emailed Beautiful Soup. 😎

Tetsu x Rika. Eh.. also soup. Rika the breeder is nothing without its prequel. While so many mediocre stuff's going on out there... I always wonder why the hell yaoi groups are into hardcore sfx editing.
And maybe Love & Catastrophes. Though they are oneshots and there's alredy 5 but I enjoyed them like... very much and it'd be nice to see it complete.

Totally agree there, I want to read Tetsu x Rika so much...although I wouldn't know if it is nothing without the prequel, I kind of treat it like a mystery while reading the sequel.

Alright, this one wasn't "magically delicious" or anything, but I would've liked to have more of Ropeman.

I like Kyoushi mo Iroiro Aruwakede, so I'm hoping for the best there. I don't think it's been abandoned, per se. It's just been a while.

This topic is depressing haha. I'm really unhappy that Ja-dou has been dropped. It was getting pretty interesting 🙁

I love this manga. DP says that the manga is "on hiatus" in Japan, that's why the last chapter (yup, there is only one chapter missing) wasn't scanlated yet.
