Why am I saying this? look back to see how he finally got amateratsu. it's attained by supposedly killing your "best friend", ie someone you treasure. After seeing his current team mates in action, he finally realized (woot common sense is so hard to see in this manga) he has lost what was important to him, his old comrades. He's finally feeling remorse and regret of his actions. He's CRYING (I think amateratsu is supposed to symbolize crying - but in blood instead of tears) about his past. He's not gonna suddenly go and kill everyone. There's just no motive. And he has to lie in order to have an upper hand over madara. He's clearly not someone who wants to be madara's pet all his life.

Anyways... that's what I think is happening. But then again, I guess we probably have to wait like 10 weeks to actually find out... 🤢

it's an understandable argument, but your forgetting how easily caught up in his revenge the guy can get. it's falling perfectly into what Itachi said would happen. Sasuke is "pure" 🙄 , and easily misguided if told the right things he'll do anything you want him to do. even if he does see the serious faults behind his choices. he may not want to kill innocent people himself, but he's willing to make the sacrifice of leaving them to the rest of Akatsuki if it'll bring him closer to his revenge.

lol sorry but it's really kind of hard to see that. it's like i said earlier he's the ends justifies the means type of guy. i don't think he was really lying when he was talking to Madara before about his revenge. i don't think he specifically cares if the guys in Akatsuki do unleash havoc on Konoha. as long as he gets to the persons he's aiming for he's hunky dory.

Just want to say one thing, he got amateratsu because his brother developed the super power of being able to teach all his techniques by tapping someone on the forehead. He didn't get it because his brother died, and it was that the next level of sharringan could only be obtained by killing your best friend. At least as far I understood everything.
And I viewed the crying in blood to be his eyes breaking down, because he will go blind if he keeps using those eyes. And for motive, Sasuke is a freaking psychopath, emo, loser. >_< He has no more need for an excuse, and with the way this series is going he would be able to take out all of Konoha quite easily. Just set something in the middle on fire one night, and watch the entire city burn down along with everyone in it. Or, he could just grunt and power up, walk into the city and start pimp-slapping and round house kicking everyone into oblivion or insta-kill them all using his Sasuke Stare... an emo version of carebear stare.

well i don't think it was some magical tap that made him able to teach Sasuke everything. my theory is that Sasuke basically copied it all from Itachi, which is sort of why he kept it at a pace of him showing every move. it's likely they just got imprinted in his eyes. also Sasuke's attack of Konoha was also predicted by Itachi, so he did make some "precautions" on dealing with it, like whatever he gave Naruto. i'm pretty sure he had an idea of what was going to happen, so he did what he did.

yes, sasuke is a freaky emo and all that but imo, the manga would turn for the lot better if it went as my prediction. Considering the first few books of this manga - which were good, we may have to consider that (even through so many more failiures of a release) the mangaka is capable of delivering something good.

...and they look like they are starting a meeting after sending off a letter to Konoha indicating that they are going to kill Sasuke

i really hated sasuke in this chapter. i want naruto to kill him. he's getting too evil.
