well when thinking it in a science way i highly doubt it the only way the world will end is if the core stops moving or the sun runs out of power but thats suppose to be millions maybe billions of years from now and a religious point of few only God knows when its gona end

well if you like at it from a scientific or religious standpoint you're right....but from a social standpoint mankind can easily end the world wish the push of a few buttons, theres enough WOMDs in circulation that if a couple countries started a nuclear war, it would be end of story for the planet.....or at the very least mankind

We had this discussion in science class. Apparently we're gonna have another ice age or something because the world goes through a period of heat up e.g. global warming and then cool down or something like that. But that's not really the end of the world at all. And then I get told by one of my friends, "Oh yeah, the bible says that we're all gonna die in 4 years."
Joy. So there's all these "theories" but there's no actual proof of the world actually ending, just maybe us. Well, I don't believe it but if it's gonna end, it better not damn end in 2012 cos it's my HSC that year.
All in all, I third what Burningdragon said. 😃

Actually, the atom smasher is on hold right now, at least until spring 2009.

Got to admit he's got a point there. Although the best "end of the world" moment ever was the near-miss meteor they didn't notice until a couple of weeks after it had passed us 🤣 .
