I've always wanted a peaceful death, but you know, it would be interesting if I was awake when I died.

Probably not, although it depends on how I would die. I always had the feeling I'd die by asphyxiation, so I'd lose consciousness prior to actually dying, which would be fine.

I would like to die awake. It'll be nice to savour every last minute i'm on earth while reminiscing my life from the day I was born.

But I prefer a quiet death and not surrounded by thousands of crying or shouting men, lol then I would feel bad to die. 🤣

If you're dead, I don't think it really matters much whether you were awake or asleep when it happened. You're still dead, it's over.

I would want to be awake since I have always wondered what would happen when I die. Will I still be aware of my surrounding or will everything just go black and nothing. I am very very curious. Which is why I have never been afraid of death or to die. 😉 😁

i'd prefer not be awake if the death is excruciatingly painful
and i'd rather not wake up in the middle of the night just to die

I think it is more for the family whether you are awake or asleep when you die

I can't say it would really make much of a difference to me. There's a high chance I won't remember it afterwords.
