From what I'm gathering, it's just a myth that otaku girls don't go for otaku guys.

That makes sense, from the stories we hear here, but at the moment... its NOT happening to me. thats the differance. ITS NOT HAPPENING TO MEEEE...

lol, what's your story?

Story? Well...

A Long Long Time Ago In A Forum Far Far Away...

Well anyway, I live in Australia, here, there aren't many Otaku's... never actually MET a female Otaku in Australia either... so its kinda sad... But luckily i got the Manifest (Melbourne Anime Festival) on Saturday... But anyway... thats how it is... I'm always the one that fails for some reason...

I live in australia and i know exactly how you feel Tachu. Theres like one small scale anime con every year in syd and apart from that you rarely meet any other otakus. Or maybe its just otakus in australia know how to hide really well...

I think there should have been an option where otaku girls doesn't mind otaku guys/likes otaku guys.

Hello everyone I saw this post and I just had to say something! Mostly because xisaacbx made me join lol. For me finding guys who liked anime or manga was kind of hard because the core group I hang out with are kind of doing the "it" thing or to worried about there looks, bodies, and cars to think about anything else. I dated guys sometimes for just looking cute but that always ended up down the drain in about 2-3 months.I found guys who are not to into them selfs a lot more fun to be around and also seem to know a lot more to talk about rather then cars or sports ect. I would kind of like a guy who knows whats going on in the world kind of like the hosts of AOTS. Well its late and this post is getting to long so I'll stop here and to the people who photoshopped my pic I hope you enjoy this one.

At first, I voted that the guy would be too busy looking at anime girls instead.

Another choice I would've voted is "Too busy with anime/manga", simply because I do a lot of reading in my free time.

Yeah I should of thought of adding something like "I can't find Otaku guys!" or "I really don't mind Otakus" bah but I was just trying to kill time I didn't think it would blow up to be this big of a topic lol XD

First, I'm already married and second, I'm mostly a BL otaku, and most guys who are into BL are not so much into girls. (Not everyone I know, but enough to make it a pattern.)

Cool. I spend a lot on manga/manhwa too. I quit reading a few years ago only to pick up reading again in 2007. Now I've got 220 or so volumes of graphic novels.

Ever wonder why girl otakus never try to find guy otakus? ^^ A women who could sit back, chill, and watch anime with me would be a dream come true (trust me I've dated girls who hated it >.< my last was a girl from Okinawa). I've met a ton but they never seem to go for other otakus of the other sex so I just wanna know why this is. =P So I started this poll to try to find out what are we doing wrong?

erm...would be strange to say i want to find a otaku guy? ^^
