Just watch me. I'm smart and driven enough to make it work, and there's no way in hell I'm going to remain poor for the rest of my life.
I wish you the best of luck, and if you make it. You can give me a good kick in the face.......

Hm... I saw this topic on the front page, and it seems kind of interesting. =)
Anyhoo... here's what I think...
Well, for starters, I've hardly met /any/ fellow otakus, and absolutely none of the opposite sex. XD But I personally think that it would be fun to watch anime with a boyfriend!
I remember earlier in the topic people thought it was because girls were reading to much shoujo and were looking for that "ideal" guy... Well, I actually like people for their imperfections. ^^; Like, if a guy is shunned, badass, (the list goes on...) then I'm drawn to them. I hate "perfect" characters. I find them incomprehensibly irritating.
But a really attractive thing in guys is talent. ^.^ I looooove it when guys can play things like the electric guitar or bass. It's... AWESOME!
Hope this helped a little. Maybe? 🙂

Depends on what type of relationship you're going for. If you're looking to be used, then yes! =D

Well I think everyone has a diffrent thought on what would be a perfect person for them.
I like smart, socially awkward boys...that are taller than me ... a guy that is prettier than me probably won't work because I don't like having girls say why is he with her? >3<

The trick is to let girls know you have money, and just never give them any. 🤣
Here's how I got the job I have now -
- Got a job testing video games at a toy company.
- Work really hard and be alert and always do your best.
- Get promoted to test lead and do well at that.
- Get promoted to Product Manager of a videogame.
- Talk to other project managers in other departments and let them know you have ideas for toys.
- Go to brainstorms for all departments and give insightful tips on making a good toy for consumers
- Get promoted to Product manager of your own brand of toys.
- Tell everyone you are so smart because ypou always read manga and go to Comic book/Manga/Toy conventions
- Tell them to pay for you to go to Comic book/Manga/Toy conventions so that you can have even better ideas.
- Create award winning best selling toys.
- Be happy and make a ton of $$ doing what you love to do.
Step 2 is th most important step for any job if you want to get promoted and do what you love to do.
Life is tough......but it's tougher if you're stupid.

Seriously, I quit a job as an office manager (making $15 p/h) to test games at this company (for $9.50 p/h) because i hate the office job so much and just wanted to do something I liked. Now I make a very comfortable amount and get to be around anime and video games all day. People always say that when it comes to a career, do what you love to do first and the money will follow later.

but but... my parents want me to go into ------
and I'll be the one earning money for my family when my parents retire. So I have to go into ----- because I get higher pay.
Besides, I'm in university, so I'm looking at office jobs mostly....

Oh. Hm I kinda had the same situation actually. I really like astrophysics, but with that BS, you'd have to get a phD in astrophysics to actually do something... Which is teach and research. And I'm not smart at all so I can hardly do research.
Now I'm planning on doing aerospace engineering, so at least I'll be close(!) to doing astrophysics! lol.
Just out of curiosity, but what did you want to go into?

Screw your parents.
Do what's best for you. If you build your entire life around them, you'll end up regretting it later.
