What is the name of a manga that no matter how many years pass, you can't forget it (for a good reason)? I'm asking for your personal choice/preference.

For me I'd say Dragon Ball. Because every shounen out there seems to remind me of it.
And CardCaptor Sakura will always stay with me.

I have some :

• Angel Sanctuary (and mostly other Kaori Yuki mangas) : mostly for the first part (earth+hell arcs). I love this manga =)
• Atashi wa Bambi : not a great manga but dunno, I read it at least once every years.
• Mitsuru's adachi mangas : Miyuki, Cross Game, Katsu, Jinbe, Nijiiro Togarashi and Rough (actually only 1 about baseball in this list...)
• Orange Yane no Chiisana Ie : because it have everything I like in a cute manga, like taking care of children, slow romance, good ending (in my pov)

Those are mangas that I easily re-read a lot and miss them when I didn't read them for a while =)
For example in Atashi wa Bambi I always miss the part where they finally fall in love together, but actually when I reread it I always find that it's not that great... Dunno why my memory always turn it like something awesome each time xD

Doraemon

The manga was a part of my childhood and i still reread it sometimes until now.

Naruto - it introduced me to manga/anime, got me through my middle school and high school years, and had a huge impact on my life. It taught me to work hard, remember to empathize with others, have hope in the future when times get dark, and always, always look out for your friends. It also got me interested in martial arts, which is basically the joy of my life now. It's been the constant in my life for the past 8 years, and although I've seen and read many anime and manga that are "better" in terms of storyline, Naruto is, was, and always will be my number one fandom.

Off the top of my head:
Ghost hunt :because I haven't been able to find another series like this
12 Kingdoms(novel): remembered for its nicely developed fantasy world
Saiunkoku Monogatari: the first reverse harem that I enjoyed
Liar Game: unique premise

and then all the mainstream series that I remember because everyone talks about them.

Bokurano is still one of the best philosophical/psychological manga I've ever read.

Clover (Clamp) is definitely the best manga Clamp ever made, I think. Nothing else really competes. It's hauntingly beautiful even in its inconclusive ending.

Full Metal Alchemist and the '03 anime were both incredibly formative in my early years as a anime/manga fan.

Hoshi no Sabaku definitely also counts, and basically anything else Funato Akari did. Her style is incredible. And every time I reread Hoshi no Sabaku, I get something more out of it. It's definitely an acquired taste, though.

Kagerou Nostalgia because I haven't seen another manga that has handled a pure reincarnation story so deftly. It's the reincarnation story to which I compare all other reincarnation stories to.

The Law of Ueki anime is also incredibly memorable because it was a huge turning point for me. Before, I used to watch anything I got my hands on (usually action shounens or harems). Afterwards, I learned precisely the genres I liked and got more selective. I read the manga years later and still loved it.

Matantei Loki is also another manga whose anime I watched during a really formative period of my life. I fell in love with it and never really looked back.

Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning, which I waited years for this to be scanlated and then years for it to be licensed, so the journey was just as memorable as the conclusion, for me.

Tokyo Babylon and X, both of which I love so much that I actually reread them every few months or so. The latter is kind of horrendous in terms of actual storytelling, but I'm so attached to the characters that I don't even care sometimes.

Oh, and I have to say that Angel Sanctuary and a whole host of Yuki Kaori's other manga (mostly Count Cain and her really early works like Neji) also influenced me a lot when I first began reading manga. But, though I still get really nostalgic feelings while reading Angel Sanctuary, I don't really like it nowadays. It has too many plot twists and too little coherent development. It really was one of those manga which I liked precisely because I read it while I was so young.

DN Angel also qualifies in the same way because I watched it and then read it (it was actually my first manga!) when I was first starting out, so it's stuck with me all this time. I don't enjoy it anymore, but I still think fondly of it from time to time.

There's also some truly terribad series that I cannot forget simply because they're so terrible, and I hold them up as examples of things never to do in a series. I don't think that's what this topic is about and I really don't want to relive their horror, so I won't list them, haha.

The one I re-read the most is probably Angel Densetsu. I like the pacifist protagonist which is quite rare in shounen, but most of all I like all the character relations; they all become a bunch of friends which is sweet. And the comedy is really one of the best. By the middle it kinda loses steam for me, with the introduction of the american kids but the end is really great, especially the red-hair realization that he's surrounded by badasses.

Bonnouji and Yumekui Merry, read both of them at least 5 times already... And still come back to read random chapters or the whole thing once in a while :3

Noblesse -- i've even re-read this one despite its length.
Gintama... yes it's gag, but because it's gag the serious moments make me say, "Even if I move on from manga one day, I won't forget this one."
Shingeki no Kyojin could go that way too, depending on how it ends. It's hard to tell because it is monthly and not completed.

it is interesting because i read a crapton of shoujo, but it's always the shounen that stick with me. Maybe because I'll read just about any shoujo but I'm very picky with my shounen lol.
